Kings Lynn 2015

The order of picks for the Grade A riders is

Leicester

Belle Vue (Worrall)

Wolves

Lakeside

Swindon

Kings Lynn

Coventry (Garrity)

Poole (Newman)

Kings Lynn may well choose to protect either Kerr or Rose but can only protect one. If they protect Rose, they will get fifth pick in the Grade A list from the seven remaining riders.

That could mean having to pick from Boxall, Birks or Roynon as they look the most likely to be left. Therefore it looks a better move to protect Lewis Kerr.

The 10 riders in the Grade A draft will be ranked so the team with the lowest ranked Grade A rider will get first pick and so on.

I would guess that Josh Auty will be ranked #1 but the next few are very close. If you go off PL averages, Kerr and Worrall both averaged 7.54 in the PL so could be the #2 and #3 while Garrity 6.75, Wright 6.64 and Blackbird 6.30 could be the next three.

Blackbird however was the top scoring fast track rider in 2014 but was that down to riding at Eastbourne, something he won't be doing next season.

The official order of these riders rankings will be vital as there are possibly four or five very good picks in the Grade B list like Paul Starke, Joe Jacobs, James Sarjeant, Simon Lambert and Lewis Rose. Any of those would be a decent partner for Lewis Kerr.

It is strange that most of these riders have yet to sign for a Premier League team, so what happens if you get a rider that then gets offered a place at a track with the same race night ?

Spot on GB. I would be happy with Birks. Also with the first draft the clash of home nights between Premier and Elite needs to be factored in. For example if Blackbird goes back to Peterborough it would make no sense in him going to Lakeside. Likewise if Wright goes back to Somerset that would suggest a no go for Lakeside as well

Kings Lynn have to protect Kerr as they are unlikely to get a reserve that can match his scoring if they don't.

Have to admit that I have heard a rumour that Kings Lynn have asked for permission to speak to Fredrik Lindgren but obviously Wolverhampton want him back as their number one.

Would this be to line up alongside Iversen or as a replacement ? Geographical the Kings Lynn location is better for Stansted but Wolves will be favourites to land him should he return to British Speedway

Kerr has to be protected in my opinion though I do understand where people are coming from with Rose .

I too have heard we are /had talks with Lindgren as you say we are better positioned to Stansted than Wolves also with Wolves racing Monday's it give the rider a day off so to speak between Polish league Sunday and Swedish league Tuesday though it's back to back with Lynn on Wednesdays - I'd guess wolves are more likely to sign Freddie than we are though .

Kerr we must for sure protect I think if it happen and Lewis rose did join another club then it would maybe help his career but then if we had a chance and no one picked him then it would not be a bad thing.

It makes no difference on race nights as Freddie rides In Sweden on Tuesday and Thursday

didn't realise he rides in Sweden on Thursday I will add it would do Freddie a power of good to move away from Wolves hes gone staleat Wolves he's at a similar stage of his career as Iversen was when he joined Lynn out of the gps and on a downer maybe the kings Lynn effect could help Freddie to to get back to where he want to be in his career .

Is it only Wolves assets that KL are rumoured to be talking to???

SteveO I rather think that's uncalled for. I think most Lynn fans understand that we can't hold to both Kerr and Rose, and if you read several posts they are on the subject of which one to keep.

I think most people understand no matter which team holds a riders contract, a rider will ride where he wants to. Or would you disagree with that ?

Steady on Steve0 - you're not exactly coming from a position of strength with that first part of your statement!! lol :t::wink:

Where were Doyley, Mads and Steady riding for the last few seasons not forgetting Miedzinski a few seasons ago? No problem in using others' assets if others are being loaned out. Actually, I don't support the asset system but while it's there teams have to be fair.

Liking your own post? That's a new one on me

You may be right about most fans but read back further than a few pages and what I said is what is being spouted by some (except the bit about using others' assets). If teams fans give it out then they need to be able to take it too!

Tough to know who to protect in all honesty however I'm sure the management are letting them know the reasons for not choosing one of them or have some kind of contingency plan in place.

I was really hoping for a side of iversen lambert Schlein bech woffiden Kerr rose but I think it's just over from what I've worked out (I could be majorly wrong with that as I only looked briefly at the numbers). However 2 ways round that would be to switch Kerr and lambert or the other would be switch Schlein with mads which again if my maths are correct would bring us under the limit.

By the looks of it we have some tough decisions to make. I would not be keen to see us have the same 7 as I believe towards the end of the season teams didn't fear us anymore and some new blood will hopefully push us on that bit more.

And I was just told that most Lynn fans weren't expecting both current FTRs in their team. You cannot swap Lambert with Kerr - as both aren't FTRs - unless you are talking about Simon
