Baldyman
So far it's not exactly a team that will bring a few new or old fans through the door. And it's never good having a journeyman in and a youngster with a bright future out. Now hoping for a new talent on a 5 or Louis has definitely played the safety card
spanner47
Well today's paper says Tungate , Heeps , Manzares and Hawkins confirmed . Let the opinions flow . I go to Foxhall hoping to be entertained. Gino, Cam (towards the end of the season) and Ritchie provided me with most of my entertainment last season, so I'm certainly happy with that trio. Hopefully Danny and Rohan will provide a good top end. Fingers crossed that CL can find another Gino, unlikely but you never know.

CardinalSin
So the stuff flying around on twitter about Wells last night was the old proverbial red Herring then! Not necessarily he might still be one of the last two! The other could be a rider on a 2.14 average. Apparently you can now have a 2.14 averaged rider, it was just accidentally left off the AGM press release Edited November 27, 2014 by CardinalSin
Aries
In the paper it doesn't sound to me as if Louis knows his two reserves yet or maybe I've just interpreted it wrong. When Mike Bacon asked if he's going for a 5 and 3 pointer or a couple of 4 pointers, Louis was non committal with "no comment" Why? If he knows who he wants no harm in saying which route he was going down he didn't have to name names. Ellis on 4.67 still easily fits in to one of the reserve berths with 8.63 still to play with, so it would seem strange he's already been ruled out if there's nothing concrete elsewhere. You'd think until he got signatures on contracts which he obviously hasn't yet, he would at least keep the Ellis option open.
Islander15
None of the 3 teams announced look great and this only looks marginally better. The trick is to find riders that improve their average and Hawkins will go well at home and he'll end up with a similar figure like usual. Tungate did really well last year and he'd do well again to retain that figure. Manzares was a find and I don't think anyone would begrudge him a year of consolidation and I think that's what will happen. So that leaves King who will probably add a point and a lot of pressure on Heeps to be the man that pushes on. The obvious man at reserve surely is Ellis, especially as he'll increase his average but for some reason it isn't Adam and I think it'll be Lanham. So rather than an up and coming rider it's someone who has been going backwards for a few years now, and the one time I saw him last season his machinery looked awfully unreliable and if he didn't gate he couldn't be bothered! If the number 7 spot is the rumoured Bates though then it's a very good signing.
Pob
I take with the latest 4 riders confirmed Louis will be asking Hawkins to be the captain again for 2015 for the Witches ?
CardinalSin
Bates? Rumoured where? As for improvers, King, Heeps, Manzares AND Tungate can improve. Tungate will spend the entire year away from the number 1 spot with King in there, so I'm fully expecting Tungate to increase his average again, just like he has in each of his 3 seasons. I can see him pushing the 9 point mark.

Baldyman
I don't see king adding a point to his average, and with rohan at 5 he could overtake king if king doesn't get off to a flyer. I see kings averaged ending up at 9, not 9.8 and rohan will be around 9 also. Lots of pressure on cam and in the middle order. Maybe Adam has been left out because of other reasons and not his average.

He hit nearly 9 whilst not really looking his best for Newcastle this year or particularly scoring heavy around his home track. He knows Foxhall inside out and I expect him to be dominant around Foxhall.
2ndbendbeerhut
Putting Tungate at 3 will help improve his average as won't have harder heat 13.

So he must have averaged below his current average to get it down to it? I have no reason to believe it will drop any lower though Also will we be in the 4.s next season

Apparently you can now have a 2.14 averaged rider, it was just accidentally left off the AGM press release A rider averaging 2.14 is going to be shocking though! How about Makinen, he only averaged about 0.6 for us. Only joking. Don't think Louis will be going down that route somehow.

He dropped down on a converted EL average in the 11's.

CardinalSin
How about max ruml and Daniel hasley to finish it offRuml isn't ready to come over apparently as he's finishing school. But someone of that ilk would fit the bill, a Ruml or Sissis. Someone young and talented to add to the asset base.
