CardinalSin
But will Risager need to ride at Ipswich as no longer lives local? Does he not? Didn't know that. Might make it a tad easier to leave him out then knowing he's not sitting across the dinner table most Sunday's!! Still expect him in the team though!! Baldyman
I agree to a certain extent, but that's the nature of the game isn't it? In this sport, if you want to be successful and win things, you have to be ruthless and pick riders on attractive averages who have scope to up them considerably. Somerset ditched a rider last year before a wheel had even been turned it anger! Harsh in the extreme, but their promotion are relatively successful and win things. The only problem with that from an Ipswich point of view, people could say why is Risager always in the team when he doesn't have much room for improvement either so in that regard Tungate could consider him unlucky. At the end of the day though, no rider is getting sacked. They sign a contract for the season, and when October 31st comes around there is nothing binding club and rider and they are both free to do what they like. It's a two way thing as well, we might well want to retain a rider, Tungate for example, but he may decide he wants to ride elsewhere and there's nothing we could do about it so it works both ways. Also I don't think tungate has helped himself by saying he was turning up at meetings and couldn't be bothered. Does anyone think risager will be left out? keithyopian
i don't think Risager should be left out. he was much more consistent than any previous year. Morten scored more consistently away from home too. i know he sometimes has a mare, but a lot less than most. and when he gates, he's difficult to pass
Bash
How about Danny King 8.84 Richie Worrall 7.32 Thomas Jorgensen 7.09 Gino Manzares 6.02 Cameron Heeps 5.38 Adam Ellis 4.67 Oliver Greenwood 3.12 Total 42.44 Or a bit more top heavy Danny King 8.84 Rohan Tungate 8.36 Rasmus Jensen 6.14 Gino Manzares 6.02 Cameron Heeps 5.38 Adam Ellis 4.67 James Sarjeant 3.00 Total 42.

Baldyman
Thank god for that, didn't fancy that team much How about Danny King 8.84 Richie Worrall 7.32 Thomas Jorgensen 7.09 Gino Manzares 6.02 Cameron Heeps 5.38 Adam Ellis 4.67 Oliver Greenwood 3.12 Total 42.44 Or a bit more top heavy Danny King 8.84 Rohan Tungate 8.36 Rasmus Jensen 6.14 Gino Manzares 6.02 Cameron Heeps 5.38 Adam Ellis 4.67 James Sarjeant 3.00 Total 42.41 Swap Wells for jorg and you could nearly be there, would also leave a little extra to try and improve on greenwood then it could easily be a league and cup winning team Edited November 20, 2014 by ivegotnohair
spanner47
For the past 3 seasons CL has gone out and got the best "available" No 1, let's hope It's 3rd time lucky, knowing Danny I'm sure it will be. As for the rest of the team? Don't really care as long as Gino and Cam are there.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
The fact that Ritchie H has a place on the EL fastrack guest list presumably means he has a PL place. For him I would expect it could be a case of Ipswich or nowhere so........ If we do go with a 3 pointer then Sarjeant and Greenwood would be the choice for me. If neither of those then I would look for more balance. I hope Adam is back but if not I always like the idea of a young Brit. I would be disheartened for us to go with a journeyman foreigner in reserve.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I still reckon King, Worrall, Wells, Manzares, Heeps, Hawkins and a 3ish pointer would be decent. Bloody good at Foxhall.have a second 3 pointer in place of RH and you coukd keep Rohan in place of Wells. A top five of King Tungate Worrall Manzares and Heeps would take some beating! Baldyman
Personally I think Wells is a faster rider than tungate with better bike skills, but his average would suggest otherwise. Although having Ipswich as Wells home track he could easily push his average higher than tungate I don't want to see either tungate or risager next season, apart from with their visiting team. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I agree that Wells is great value on 6.46 and has great room for improvement. Dont think he would out average Rohan but likely better point for point value in team building terms. Lots will depend on if we want to use assets against the extra costs of not doing so. We are not Glasgow after all!
