Ipswich 2015

Recommended Posts

Most number ones should win their races, but skippers also need to do what is best for the team, King has more than enough track craft to team-ride more but lets be fair to him, none of his team mates are near him this season to warrant it - If I was King this season I would win as many as possible and let them fend for themselves because the back up have been simply woeful but they are GOOD riders

Even if his team mate gates in front of him King always seems to be looking to get past and win the race instead of protecting them.

But I can't have too much of a go at him him and Nico have carried this team for a lot of the season . Without them we could have been In a battle for the wooden spoon

I hope Louis goes for 3-4 guys like Covatti next season with some youth who are maybe a "risk" who will either score 3 or 6

End of the day if you are racing this seasons Ipswich, you face the out and out no.1 King 5 days...if you get 3-3 every time thats only 5 points you are giving away, beat his team mates and you've won every meeting. So for me, plus if King is at coventry I would leave him out plus King is looking for more european meetings.

If covatti makes it to the gp. Will he want to race premier league? And if he did, how many Fridays would he miss. could be some tough decisions for Louis over the winter.

I'm just hoping morten isn't back and maybe either rohan or cam are lent out for the season. Maybe even both, but if I had to keep one of them it would be rohan.

Well if Mr Louis words are anything to go by in the SS this week he's not a happy bunny and if things don't start improving said he may have to consider his position in the sport

In King's defence, you can only team ride if your team mate has gated behind you. Three fifths of his races are with the number 2 and let's face how many times has the rider in that position gated on a 5-1 this season?

Also, in heat 13 he had Tungate for the first half of the season who was hardly tearing things up when against the opposition heat leaders and in the second half Covatti has been mainly trying to battle his way round the opposition from a poor gate.

Our real problem this year has been no real improvement from the likes of Manzares, Heeps and Tungate with Hawkins going backwards. The team was built on that happening.

As I said I can't moan about King to much as he has carried this team and his team mates haven't really stepped up .

As for Mr Louis he not happy with the state of grass roots speedway in this country and the lack of young British riders coming through . He's said that there has been too many quick fixes over the years and now the sport needs a major overhaul. If you go to the speedway star site you can see what he says far to much for me to post the whole double page centre spread and phone not letting me copy it across

I think all those mentioned have gone backwards. Or have they just reached their level.

Heeps certainly needs away, as he rides better away from home anyway. Yes he has had a couple of injuries now, but haven't most riders. If you watch Heeps at a track like Peterborough he is much more suited to it.

Did a very good job looking after Riss the other night at Somerset. No passing but in my eyes best race if the night

Could say the same about stefan he never seems to look comfortable on a bike at Foxhall
