Pob
Well that's only a couple of weeks away rather than the original date No other meetings on the 24th on bspa website so come on Mr Louis give us a quality field to finish our season off with a banging meeting
ZODIAK
Hopefully include one or two who might be in the plans for next year. Maybe give the two youngsters in the NL that are catching the eye a go and have a closer look at them.
Baldyman
Oh come on. Nearly every year the 16 lap field isn't very good when it could be used to look towards the future. Probably all witches, plus lanham barker Worrall risager and doolan Edited September 14, 2015 by baldyman
Bash
You will probably find it won't have any riders in the play-offs as clubs probably won't let their riders in it, especially after what happened to Ostergaard at Redcar. Agree Baldy it could be used to look towards the future, but they could use the Star of Anglia for that.
Baldyman
Maybe they should use both meetings?
Pob
Why not do the star of anglia but do it as only open to riders foe the future maybe a under 21 or 23 meeting .

ZODIAK
I agree with Scotsman agreeing with Louis I've said it before and I'll say it again, I feel really sorry for Louis he's desperate to win the title as he openly concedes, and every winter he puts together strong looking teams capable of doing just that. But once again, this year the team have under performed and badly let him down. I still can't get me head around how a team that was tipped pre season as "title favourites", had a dominant number 1 and a reserve ringer who put three points on his average, still weren't good enough for a place in the top 6!!? And that's with a more than capable quintet in the middle of those including Tungate, Heeps and Manzares. Pretty shocking really. Never mind Chris have another bash mate! Baldyman
That trio often underperformed though.and often at the same time.
MrMungo
It's strange to see Heeps getting some criticism. He's not developed as expected, definitely, but did increase his average, which is the name of the game, despite taking some hefty knocks along the way. I think the latest averages comparison shows where the side lost out. King: 8.84 -> 9.39 Hawkins: 5.27 -> 3.35 Manzares: 6.02 -> 5.41 Heeps: 5.38 -> 6.15 Tungate 8.36 -> 7.29 Nielsen 4.23 -> 4.68 Covatti 4.19 -> 7.55
ZODIAK
There's plenty on here that will defend Hawkins through rain or shine. But the fact is he was shocking on track, and there is argument he was poor OFF track too? The first meeting after he was axed, John Louis was quoted as saying the team morale and atmosphere was so positive that it's pretty damning against Ritchie Hawkins. Think it's safe to predict that Ritchie Hawkins will be nowhere near a Witches team place in 2016. It's strange to see Heeps getting some criticism. He's not developed as expected, definitely, but did increase his average, which is the name of the game, despite taking some hefty knocks along the way. Won pretty much everything at youth level in Australia and ripped up the UK NL in his first season, rising from reserve to dominant number 1 in one season. Injuries have definitely hampered his progress so some slack should be reserved for that, but even taking that it in to account, he's still been disappointing Edited September 17, 2015 by Hong Kong Phooey
Sings4Speedway
Not a shocking drop from Manzares but miles off what he will need for a visa. Its a cut throat game and seems odd that the last time anybody will probably see him will be at the 16 lapper!
Baldyman
I'm sure he can finish top 4 in the USA championship. So he should easily be seen again.

Panthers89
Big risk for Scotty if Aces make the play off final, If I was Aces management, I'd be asking for him to withdraw for a meaningless meeting. We only know whats it like for riders to get injured in them, aka, Ully.
ZODIAK
and we all know which name on the list will get people talking......Agree. Have we ever included a NL rider in this type of event before? Makes the meeting all the more interesting for me now it'll be interesting to see how the lad performs in this kind of company.
