CardinalSin
I would have king Worrall and wells, no morten and no tungate. I'm with you there as well, but I'm confident Risager, Heeps and Manzares will be in the team, and if there's no change with the doubling up rule next weekend then I'm confident King will be in there too. Agree though that King, Worrall and Wells would be a potent top end, even though I'd have slight concerns with Wells' apparent commitment or lack of, to his PL clubs. mickthemuppet
One of the main complaints about current Speedway is the riders moving round from one team to another every year. So what is wrong with Ipswich keeping the same team as last year or very close to it. It is not as if they finished near the bottom of the league so why do we have over 200 posts about changing the team. Some of the criticisms of many of the riders on here are unjustified. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Those with less than 3 years in the PL may still get a 2.5% discount. So Adam woukd be 4.55 rather than 4.67. The likes of Lewis Rose Lewis Kerr Ollie Greenwood etc would also qualify if it continues.

Maybe some fans think a couple of changes would improve the team even more? Which I would have thought is the main aim of a sports team. Arson fire
Cant believe anyone would even think of having Tungate over King given the choice.

What's wrong with keeping the team as near as possible is the fact that it's a nearly team that goes missing when the chips are down in the most crucial meetings . Im sure everyone wants their team to be as good and as competitive as possible and changes im afraid are necessary to achieve that ! Harsh as it may seem on some to win things you need riders who are going to up their averages and it appears alot on here agree that Rohan and Morten won't do that . Potential to up their game ? Tungate , no Risager , no Heeps , yes Manzares , yes Worrall , yes Hawkins , unlikely Ellis , not sure All about opinions as we know but the only ones I would definitely want in my team are the 3 yes's . And King was a sliver shy of the 9 point mark for Newcastle, and that on the back of a poor year by his standards. Probably not helped by the fiasco at Birmingham.

Baldyman
There are a few that would rather have tungate. As a number 1 though, not for me.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
If Danny is available to us then to choose him as our No1 is a no brainer for me. I do think Rohan can still progress and maybe retaining him as a No2 could still be possible. We have tried the balanced approach,we have tried the big No1 perhaps now we need to try top heavy!
25yearfan
I like Danny King as a rider but he's like a lot of British riders in that he flatters to deceive and has reached his highest level! That said he wouldn't be a bad signing for Ipswich!
Baldyman
With people discussing if king would be a good number 1 in the premier league, just goes to show how good and competitive the league is right now. Let's hope the elite league boys don't try and ruin it with more stupid rules they probably come up with at the conference.
jenga
if ippo sign danny king , that will be another British rider they have ruined the car rear of. ... see what i did there.. . stik with tungate, after all , he was the real deal for you.. iandean3
Firstly, I do not think Danny King will up his average next season, but as he is being talked about a lot, as a rider for next season, I think he can do a good job as Ipswich No 1. He now has a lot of experience that he could pass onto the younger riders and would make a good Captain. Assuming that the team points limit stays at 42.50. I would like to see the following team, which I also think is achievable. Danny King 8.84 Captain Geno Manzares 6.02 Thomas Jorgensen 7.09 Cameron Heeps 5.38 Richie Worrall 7.32 Adam Ellis 4.67 Erik Riss 3.00 (I assume he would come in on 3.00. but I am not that well up on the rules ?) Total 42.32 Very hard on Ritchie Hawkins, who is a great captain and had a good year as a rider as well. Also hard on Rohan Tungate. But I feel that all the riders above (except, possibly Danny King) would improve thier averages.
