TheScotsman
Anybody fancy Jason Garrity in the side? No.
keithyopian
do we really want Barker back. he dropped about 2 points on his average whilst with us. i'd like king and worrall as 1 and 5 i think
CardinalSin
The gist of the article is Brian Messenger has no intention as staying on as manager, Heeps is a must to stay as he's on an artificial average due to him taking a while to overcome wrist surgery, and he hints at a big hitting number 1 and then finding the right 3 point man. He says he has no knowledge of who we will sign, but he's heard King mentioned so that looks a possibility.
Countershaftcounter
If he's looking for a 3 pointer, which reserve is out on there ear ?
TheScotsman
Why would one be out? Just moving one up the main 5.
Baldyman
Well if he doesn't know and has no intention of staying on, why do a piece.Anyway, I take it we are looking for a new team manager too then. So apart from myself, who else you make a good team manager? Edited November 6, 2014 by Baldyman
Witches123
what about lewis blackbird next year. He is a Ipswich asset so why not use him
TheScotsman
Staying with Peterborough hopefully.
CardinalSin
I'd quite like to see Lewis with us actually he looked terrific last season. He's an Ipswich (Chris Louis) asset so I'm sure if Louis wanted him in the side then it would be more than a possibility so we'll see. TheScotsman
Assets mean nothing other than loan fees. It's where the rider wants to race that is important and who is offering the best real.

CardinalSin
Still not sure about all the hype about King. What "hype"? Nobody is wetting their drawers at the prospect, just saying he'll be a very good number 1 to lead the team, which he would be. Who would you like at number 1? screm
Danny King on a sub 9pt average seems an attractive signing to me, whether that be for Ipswich or somebody else.
cowboy cookie returns?
Honest answer is I don't know. I don't think come the end of next season that there will be much between Tungate & King so I think I would go with Tungate & use the extra left to have a stronger tail. I think we should hold on to Manzares Heeps & Worrell . I think a new up & coming rider like Max Ruml or the German Michael Haertel would be a good shout. Couldn't agree more with that bit, but totally disagree regarding Tungate and King. There's no doubt in my mind that King will be a 9 point number 1, Tungate on the other hand wouldn't get remotely close to that riding at 1 all season in my opinion. Tungate has done well to push his average up over 8, but he's achieved that average not riding in the number 1 position. If he's chosen to lead the team next year he'll get my full support, but if he's going to be our "big hitter" in the team we're going to be seriously outgunned at the tail end of meetings. For the record Worrall isn't the answer at 1 either, but he has a better looking average and would be ok as a second heatleader.
Baldyman
Worrall is the perfect rider to have as second heat leader, just look how much better his scoring was once he moved to 5
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Options with both King and Tungate are possible but limit the bottom end needing 2 3ish pointers. King Tungate Worrall or Risager Manzares Heeps O Greenwood Sarjeant
CardinalSin
Worrall is the perfect rider to have as second heat leader, just look how much better his scoring was once he moved to 5 Agreed but problem is if He's second heatleader behind Tungate, then IMO he'll very quickly move back to number 1. Neither Tungate nor Worrall are strong enough at number 1 for me. King and Worrall top 2, harsh on Rohan yes but that's what I'd like to see. http://www.speedwaygb.co/plteamissues14.html The final Greensheets for team building Tungate 8.36 Risager 7.36 Worrall 7.32 Manzares 6.02 Heeps 5.38 Hawkins 5.27 Ellis 4.67 Total: 44.38 Danny King 8.84.. King 8.84 Risager 7.36 Heeps 5.38 Manzares 6.02 ? up to 7.23 Ellis 4.67 3 pointer Edited November 8, 2014 by CardinalSin
Baldyman
I would have king Worrall and wells, no morten and no tungate.
