2014 Review

Recommended Posts

Sheffield: Fantastic the club was saved during the last closed season by great new owners. Good start in the Premier Trophy reaching the semis and 2 away wins, then injuries decimated our PL season, Great end of season with Steady winning the PLRC. Crowds up and plenty of enthusiasm about the place for the future despite a tough season.

Plus we had the new British Under 21 Champion riding for us.

You are right about injuries and they did blight our season.

But with the new Promotion coming like a breath of fresh air I think we could be on the verge of returning to the top end of the league for 2015.

Fair to middling season for the Monarchs ;) I wasn't over enthused with our team this year but was so delighted to have another year watching Cookie that I accepted we had to go with a weak "rest of team" lol We had a great start with Justin and Stevie scoring for fun at reserve, we were able to still win easily while Aaron found his feet. Been a bit tougher since Derek and Aaron have been at reserve but to have a semi-final and 2/3 finals in October is superb. Sam Masters has really come on in the second half of the season while young Max Fricke has matured into an excellent heatleader.

We could lose these 2/3 finals but already have won the Pairs and the League, just need to add the silverware now.
