From the updates site it sounds like the track is positively dangerous ..Where have i heard that before this season about Coventry has someone got to be seriously injured before they do something about it..?

If the tracks anything like last Mondays for the Sky meeting it'll be tricky, but not dangerous. Most riders at this level do not possess sufficient skill to race on it.

Sounds like an awful meeting at coventry again tonight.

Yes, so awful that I left before heat 14, even though the final result was still in the balance. Worse still the other half came too, for only the 2nd time this season, so I've had to put up with him moaning all night as well. Congratulations to The Storm on getting through to the play off final but that's it for me this season now. If I wanted to see tractors grading the track more than speedway races then I'd go down the road to the farm near us and I wouldn't have to pay either.

What is the matter with you moaners Storm were brilliant team spirit great some fantastic speedway stop bloody moaning and get behind both teams in Coventry otherwise you will lose the lot. I enjoyed tonight some great young riders who have progressed during the season. Great meeting to come against Cradley and hope Monday will give USA positive result.

The track looked a little tricky in the first 3 races but then after grading improved. There was a training day at Coventry prior to this meeting and this may have played a part in late preparation / watering. I agree with comments on the programme, £2.00 for 2 x A4 sheets, absolute rip off in my opinion, Mick Horton should sort this out as this does put supporters off and was certainly subject of conversation in my group of 7 supporters. I thought James Sarjeant was in a class of his own tonight backed up by an impressive showing by Dan Greenwood. A agree with ABBO in his post. I look forward to Monday!

Track was awful tonight - over watered & catching nearly all the riders out. (Ref ordered a regrade after Ht2) Lost track of how many falls & reruns, there were tonight. Riders were struggling to turn the bike out of 2 & into 3. Worse meeting I've seen this year.

Felt sorry for the riders, with perfect weather, surely it's not too difficult to create a reasonable track, where they don't have to put themseves at risk of injury. Sad to see this at one of the premier tracks in this country

Congratulations to James Sarjeant & Dan Greenwood (the only two riders to get to grips with the track) & Danny Ayres for some cracking racing

They might be brilliant and the team spirit great but tonight was not very enjoyable. I pay to watch racing not endless grading of the track. What on earth is wrong with it as it seems that at every meeting - Bees included - the riders ask for it to be sorted out after the match has started and we hang around watching the tractors go round. Can't blame the weather or stock cars so why is it prepared so badly?

Last nights track at Coventry looked extremely tricky, very greasy and did indeed contribute to several falls. Darren Hartley did his best to make the track staff get that surface into some semblance of a raceable track, but he could not just get them to grade a track that was soaking wet from the outset, he had to let some dirt get turned first.

I am fed up of people sniping at James Sarjeant too, he was involved in an incident at Mildenhall, I was there on that day and the home crowd were entirely to blame.

James, who was quite young at that time was intimidated, reacted quite understandable and the crowd invaded the pits! The reason why the crowd were annoyed was nothing whatsoever to do with James, they were cross because Simon Lambert was making a monkey of Mildenhall's riders beating them with ease, then mocked them when they were booing and howling at him, another perfectly understandable reaction from someone who was jeered at for winning!

James Sarjeant's riding last night was inspired, his race times were two seconds faster than most and he looked stylish, professional and was running the bike to its limit.

I am no fan at all of the gentleman who prepares James' bikes, but man and machine were in perfect harmony last night, so credit to his crew too, it was a fantastic performance.

It was a meeting marred by falls and crashes, hurt riders and a very, very bad track, a poor piece of PR for speedway indeed and one that tilted the result against a Kent side who did their level best to do well.

It was not a meeting to encourage repeat trade, the person who accompanied me was despondant and upset at the falls and injuries and I doubt they will return.

That's what is so depressing. Some fans won't attend National League matches because they think it is inferior racing with riders falling off all the time. Last night would prove them right as the majority of riders were struggling with the track and it was not a good advert for speedway. I have been to all the Storm matches, apart from the double header when I was on holiday, but I won't be going back for the final. As for the other half he stopped going to Leicester mid season so I was hoping some exciting racing would encourage him to come with me to Coventry more often. Not a chance after last night.

I know you are a long time fan of Speedway Gemini, and thats whats so depressing, I can only imagine what first timers think of the sport, starting with £2 for basically 2 pieces of paper.

There was a young family just in front us and they looked like first timers as well, after heat 6 they got up and went and we didnt see them again, Im hoping they moved to another part of the stadium but Im assuming they went home,

It wasnt entertaining, exciting or of any real interest, seasoned supporters know it was just a blip and the next time you come you just might get a better meeting, but each meeting should be more professional, sadly last night it wasnt.

Hoping the EL play off final if you get there is much better and the big event later in the month the NL 4s is treated to a better presentaion than last night.

My Brother said to me last night just after heat 9, "why are they killing our sport" and sorry to say its probably true.

Yet there are people on Facebook saying 'Another thoroughly entertaining and absorbing meeting, even allowing for the delays and re-runs.' 'Anyone who didn't go missed a great night. Speedway was absorbing and the result not certain until a few heats from the end.' :o

I like to think after all these years I'm pretty unbiased and I just don't see how that can be described as a great night. We weren't the only ones who left before the end and it just makes me feel sad how things are at Coventry now.

As a neutral with no axe to grind, I thought coventry prepared a shocking track last night. The riders of both sides deserve great credit for soldiering on when conditions were far from ideal. Charles ochiltree would turn in his grave if he could see what has happened to his beloved Brandon this season.

If I was introducing anyone to speedway the last place I'd take em is to a NL meeting. The skill level is close to zero and often a rider will fall when passed, with no contact.

If you've watched the worlds best in the GP's on TV, going to a third tier meeting would be a bit of a culture shock I should think
