stevebrum
It should have, didn't rain much yesterday and not much today bit of drizzle so should be going ahead as long as the predicted heavy rain doesn't materialise.   Just spoke to my ex in Poole at the moment and it is absolutely lashing it down there   What will it be rain, spit, drizzle or nothing. One thing for sure, it will be one of them Are the covers down?

weatherwatcher
I have been on my weather webacm page and tried the Poole wecam and at the moment it seems to be down. The only webcam that I can find in the are is from Swanage and all this gives is a cloud picture. The link is here if you want to take a look. It looks rather dull and grey from what I can see. bluejigger
IvanHoward, I apologise for the name calling which should not have happened. However, as a neutral observer I was incensed at the inference that somehow Benji Compton's injury was not genuine. I have read many such similar posts throughout the season on this forum about various Poole riders who are not riding in a particulsr meeting - almost as if Matt Ford / Neil Middleditch were trying to gain an unfair advantage by inventing injury reports so that they could bring in superior riders. They have had an awful season with rider absentee (and other unplanned events) and do not deserve the contempt that comes across. After all where would the Elite League be without such a successful team that is such a draw when riding on away tracks. flagrag
If the meeting goes ahead there will a live report from Nigel Pearson before the meeting then some races will be shown on time delay with depending how the match goes and scoreline will dictate how much coverage is shown. Fans need to remember that Sky sports HQ is a sport news channel that features a variety of sport and has to take regular ad breaks but will feature Speedway more this evening. The reason this is not being shown in full is simple cost it has already cost over 50k to try to broadcast this meeting, so can just about justify another £2500 for live inserts but not another 20k for full broadcast. By the looks of the weather it may be a very good decision. Lets just hope that forecast improves and can get Coventry on Friday Edited October 15, 2014 by flagrag

ivanhoward
Bluejigger - apology accepted. At the time of my initial posting it seemed strange that he was not riding when there had been no news of his injury.Compton has not done much to justify his inclusion in the team so his absence did raise doubts in my mind. I agree that there have been many similar posts but it has not always been about Poole. The entire situation regarding guests in the Elite League needs a complete overhaul otherwise it will continue
foreverblue
Joe Screen. Perhaps we need to supply photographic evidence of all injuries in the future for people to believe them

tellboy
Having just seen the track on Sky it looks dodgy for tonight. But Pearson said if the rain stops by 5:30-6:00 the track staff are confident they can get it on. Buster must have arrived early then
