Gavan
Excuse me. I think should know your full name from your avatar especially as I named you because I am your daddy. nice comments shows you for the moron you are mate. Cant believe how many pages we have to read of the same old crap coming out of certain Poole fans mouths. Its like the child in the playground who sticks his fingers in his ears and goes lalalaa im not listening. They should try reading what people write and perhaps listen to opinions but they dont. You wont find another club on this forum with as many numptys as Poole. Nobody is disputing the Wednesday call off Nobody is saying the track wasnt dangerous on Monday. What everyone is saying is that the track on Monday was Pooles fault. Nobody else not the weather. Even Middlo said they bladed it wrong and caused the hole. The fact that they made little effort to get the track right will always leave the debate of 'could they be bothered' Swindon made every effort even though they knew it wouldnt benefit them. Poole made no effort knowing it would benefit them. When this is pointed out the old blue tints rise up and go all defensive and arent intelligent enough to debate it. One thing is why is is season after season anything remotly dodgy in the elite league has Pooles name attached to it somewhere? Is it ....... a. coincedence b. because they pull every trick in the book c. we are all anti poole and jealous Just awaiting the usual suspects to tell me its c
Joe Beevers
nice comments shows you for the moron you are mate. You do know that you are breaching speedway forum rules and regulations with this verbal abuse. I may report this to the moderator but I may just ignore this. At least I have your full name in case I need to report the slander to the law.
moxey63
Arguably the best way forward for the sport, for SKY's involvement, is perhaps to show only a few live matches each season. Instead, they could broadcast all the heats of the week's match in a specially edited show, perhaps within hours of its completion. Speedway relies too much on fate for live TV broadcasts to be problem-free. The time has passed of getting excitement from live speedway on our screens. The novelty has passed. Let's be honest... some live events, which can last three hours for 15 heats, are like pulling at fingernails in freezing temperatures.. By following the recorded highlights way, fans could be encouraged to attend their local tracks. There possibly would not be any live speedway streaming (least, I don't think there would be) to discourage stay-at-homes from attending. Also seems a bit silly, showing a minority sport live in our living rooms... when most tracks are crying about poor crowds. If it's live on TV, why should there be a rush to watch it live in the chilly night air at trackside? On the other hand,If there's just edited highlights etc to satisfy us on TV, there could be more effort to attend our ailing tracks, to actually watch it live? SteveLyric2
The fact is we are holding the second leg of the final on monday 20th if we get through and you said the stadium wasn't available this monday, so why is it available next monday? That's what I was told by Shawn the Stadium/Greyhounds Manager!!

As most tracks have a small company doing their meetings on DVD, surely something like this could be used. I understand SKY want live matches... but all the hassle they have had with speedway and its live credentials.
Midland Red
Yes but when someone said I should count myself lucky I've got a job I will defend that because I had to work hard and had to change my lifestyle to be where I am now. That wasn't luck. Are people unlucky to be made redundant of course but just because people have jobs it doesn't make them lucky when hard work to get there is involved. At least they've given dates that they intend to run. Looking at it with a bit of tinkering I can make both finals. I believe your sentiment is correct but the wording of your original post didn't reflect that Perhaps what you meant to say was that those in work were lucky that they hadn't had the undeserved misfortune to lose them, unlike many out there

g13webb
If The season had started sooner who would have Lynn had riding at number 4, or would you have wanted R/R or a guest until Robert Lambert turned 16 ? Buster cant have it both ways. PMPO posts an interesting and constructive comment, and you come back with such rubbish (above). Are you for real?? We are having a massive problem with the weather and fixtures, and when someone come in with a sensible comment, you base the whole logic on the birthday of a sixteen year old. FFS...... If starting the season earlier would have meant using AN.Other as a guest for a few weeks, then wonderful. I don't suppose it would have made much difference. If Buster had dictated his whole season to revolve round Robert Lambert, than god help us....

That wasn't luck. Are people unlucky to be made redundant of course but just because people have jobs it doesn't make them lucky when hard work to get there is involved. Exactly. At 29 I've been made redundant/had contracts ended early 5 times in my life. First time I went off to uni, second time I moved 100+ miles for work, 3rd time I managed to get a new job after a few months of searching at the start of a recession, 4th time I moved 100+ miles again and the next time within a week of my last day and while still being paid by my most recent employer I was in work again for an old employer. Lucky? Or worked hard to be damn good at what I do? If that now means I'm in a job where I am in such a position that I cannot be replaced at short notice then I'll damn well complain about speedway meeting being moved around without feeling bad about it. So no, I'm not lucky enough to have not been made redundant but I'm clearly "lucky" enough that each time it has happened I've found myself a new job. rob240866
I don't really know why you picked him up on it in the first instance to be honest. It was clear to me what he meant. my original comment wasnt having a go at anybody especially hard working people. i was merely stating that theres a bigger issue for loads of people than having to rearrange time off from work for a speedway meeting. well the upside is that today ive been offered a new job after 12 months out. so i can get back to being the hardworking person ive always been and maybe take in a meeting or two on the continent next season, doubt whether it will be over here as 1,my team now doesnt exist, and 2 the sports a complete and utter shambles in the uk. sorry if my original comment was misconstrued by some.
