Posf2 Poole V Kings Lynn

Recommended Posts

Hang on there. The covers that swindon used are the BsP's aren't they. Buster looks after them (please correct me if I am wrong) So poole could not have had them anyway. And even then they didn't use them properly.

Do poole have any covers and would they have been any good??

thankyou in advance.

do Poole do cover ups?

I never said the track was doctored and Gavan hasn't either. Bluster complained about the poor attempt to rectify a problem he reckons could have been sorted with the correct material and equipment.

I have sen few Poole fans trying to find reasons or explain why the Poole promotion was not properly prepared for this meeting - just excuses for what happened. I still don't think there's any evidence that anything was done in advance of the meeting to give it a better chance of taking place.

Swindon did make the effort to cover their track and were able to stage a meeting. OK, so their team subsequently failed - but they got praise for the huge effort to get the meeting on.

As soon as someone dares to criticise Poole ... the shutters go up, the excuses are trotted-out and the Pirates promotion are victims.

You could try asking yourselves why, but you won't get a genuine response, or a considered reason - just excuses LOL.

Well that was my original point and people did say it. He did respond to it and did disagree with my point if you read our posts.

I don't know what happened regarding the track and it is unprofessional and embarrassing for Poole that the track happened to deteriorate in such a way that it made it unrideable. If they are a top club they should rectify the track so no holes or craters appear next year so it doesn't happen again. Rain offs cost promotions money.

Regardless of this crater, the rain actually came down again so it still would have been to dangerous to ride and people seem to think the Poole promotion control the weather?

Swindon have a better prepared track and probably had less rain by the sound of what I had heard. As said above, the track needs serious returfing (is that the word?) to be on par. Maybe regular track inspections throughout the year should be done to determine if the club should represent the top tier of British Speedway. I believe the same rule applies to Conference League football. (I maybe wrong).

Asking yourselves??? I'm not a Poole fan!

Middlo even said the hole was caused by them blading it off so there own error.

Yet some Pole fans wish to make excuses and Poole have done no wrong in calling both meetings off.

Sadly by pointing these things out you suddenly become anti Poole or a Poole hater.

But then you have to be less blue to see these things.

So a combination of bad weather and a mistake with a machine. Meeting called off through bad weather shock!!

But the point is, you should not be calling off meetings because you have messed up tracks ruining another teams arranged and promoted play-off date and screwing it up for the fans who have booked to go to the finals. Can you imagine them accepting this in Poland? I bet they have deadlines and if you miss them then it's 75-0. Today was the weather, fine. But Monday Poole Speedway screwed up.

Meeting called off through bad weather, poor track prep (by Poole) and no use of track covers.

Its pretty easy to understand!

But you dont even know who the finalist is your playing so how can you have booked anything except maybe time off work which at most businesses can be cancelled

Really? Most business ask for 28 days for holidays. It was bad enough someone decided to change the 2nd leg to Wednesday. Now I've had to cancel holidays and my boss has okayed that but right now I don't actually know when the finals are going to be to book more time off. If Im at a client site or have a visitor in then I'll have to miss one of the meetings.

Not everyone can drop everything at a moment notice. Speedway promoters moan crowds are down and people don't go but when meetings are cancelled and changed around at short notice is it any wonder? Once meetings are in the calendar thats where they should stay. The only exception is rain on the day. For KOC (as it still happens in the PL) and play-offs clubs should be given a deadline by which meetings have to be run.

How is it possibly fair that Coventry run out of dates so had to run the Wolves meeting after the deadline. Had they needed them 3 points would the deadline have been moved back a week? No chance. So why have Poole been allowed to move meetings back a week now?

The fault does not lie with Poole or Kings Lynn or indeed the weather for that matter.

I blame the bspa for not getting their S**T in order and making sure each club can pull off what should be a simple task of fitting 13/14 home meetings in within a five month period, the play offs should be held in September, not the back end of October, its the same every season.

why would you need time off to travel to kings lynn? I must be lucky I can have any day as long as several people havent booked it already, this week, next week, you must have cancelled alot of holiday in your time following speedway, what about if your team were involved when the final was postponed several times
