Steve0
It doesn't really matter who wins this as, with the number of guests, it is hard to work out what team they are all representing on the night! A couple of weeks ago at BV we had Hans Anderson and Chris Harris ride for KL then an hour or so later ride for Coventry. We then have the situation where Coventry are in the final and 2 of their riders are helping the opposition get to the final (or not if they don't fancy racing against them) while the beaten semi-finalists are providing a rider for the other team! Only in speedway - what a joke! Edited October 9, 2014 by Steve0
Starman2006
Again, had we not had a monsoon from dinnertime onwards the likelyhood being we would have got on, but bcause of the rain, yes, that wet stuff we tend to get this time of year, just for the lesser eduacated on here, the track became a lake and everytime people got out to try and do something about it, yes, it rained again.I even thought about poping into Town and buy 12 Goldfish a cheap rod reel line hooks and a loaf of uncut, and sitting on the centre green in the middle of turn 3-4 and fishing. Now for those with less brain matter on here, that tells you the track was flooded. As was the entrance inside the main grandstand. We did offer to stage Jetski racing instead, but apparantely Nigel Pearson knows bugger all about that.. The repair was the priority, then the covers. The repair work should have taken place Tuesday morning. Of course, but in the starry world any excuse is better than none. Swindon could get a meeting on and now twice in one week Poole haven't been able to. Shocking and disgraceful. Your perfect world must be a lonely place. And some teams needs to get track covers down provided by SKY instead of looking for excuses. Are you going to find the Volunteers to put them down and take them up? Clearly you have completely no idea Brum, why don't you join Gavan in the PL section. or better still don't come on here at all. I have to chuckle at you Starman - you regularly play the "make it clear for the less educated on here" card and you show yourself up with your atrocious spelling. First Bend Bunching
Stretching it out that far puts completing the Final at severe risk The way things are going Niels and the team Lewis will be fit to ride in the return leg

I would be very surprised if you were better educated than I am thanks very much! So don't even go there with your patronising attempts at put downs!
Red Panda
who are you like??... Read my genuine question to nick you moron!!! I didnt say it hadnt been repaired, i asked why it wasnt done on Monday!!! Is that too difficult to get a simple answer without being biased and pathetic?? No need for name calling................and you asked if it had been repaired........... not being biased at all..........just saying it as it is.............. RP PS whatever happened to attack the post not the poster............
Hodgy
Oh my days. Some of you should just read yourselves, it's so pathetic and childish. We've had days of torrential rain, to which under 'normal' circumstances no one would expect a meeting to survive this weather. Always the conspiracy - look outside FFS.
orion
I wouldn't bother RP. When brains were dished out many on here got missed. stevebrum
Are you going to find the Volunteers to put them down and take them up? Clearly you have completely no idea Brum, why don't you join Gavan in the PL section. or better still don't come on here at all. Swindon found them, Poole would find them. Unless you seriously believe people wouldn't turn up to assist if asked. I have no interest in the PL thanks for the offer. Unlike some of your fellow Poole trolls i don't threaten to leave and either come back with a different name (Poole Quay 7) or sulk off (Shovlar). Your juvenile replies are priceless and your awful spelling confirms what we all expect from you. I have the worst offenders on ignore for good reason. Yours are priceless for all the wrong reasons. I like a bit of comedy.
Joe Beevers
Hey Joe ... Bluster Chapman complained about the lack of effort/ability to put it right. Is he a troll? If you read my post instead of Gavin Andrews'(Gavan) post you would clearly see that I said people were saying the Poole promotion were digging holes in the track on purpose to get the meeting off. So if your claiming he said that then yes I claim he is trolling. Also I think some of these posters actually have no idea how much money it costs a speedway promotion to call a rain off right at the last minute. Do people serious think promotions would waste money on travel etc to try and get a so called stronger team on a different date and 'doctor a track' so they can't host a meeting live to the public and tv. And do they think the sponsors want that as well? A few deluded and ignorant posters if that is the case and I would love to see this response answered. AFCB Wildcat
I'm not a 'blue tint' as some like to say and I haven't been to Poole since the demise of the Buccs but I live within 5 miles of the Stadium and can vouch that since Monday the weather has been extremely wet particularly during the night and there's no way that track would have dried enough to put covers on it at any time between Monday and now even if they had been available. This meeting has been a victim of extreme weather plain and simple. Maybe mistakes were made before Monday, I don't know but again if track covers were available I'm sure Sky would have insisted on their use.
Triple.H.
Read the thread it has been repaired............ And for those of you who do not believe the amount of rain in Poole..........I was in the town from about 12 onwards...........at about 2 ish there was a torrential downpour which put paid to the meeting............the rain was blowing in sheets up the high street.............Poole did not ask for it to rain nor could it be avoided..........when are the Poole haters going to shut the f**k up and live with it...........some people really need to look at their own teams inadequacies before criticising others............. RP But Poole's track has been complained about for a few years now the crater/hole didn't appear overnight it's been there donkeys years. Surely as Dorsets 2nd best professional sports team and Poole's top sports team they should have priority over any other event at the stadium. speedwayfun
Hang on there. The covers that swindon used are the BsP's aren't they. Buster looks after them (please correct me if I am wrong) So poole could not have had them anyway. And even then they didn't use them properly. Do poole have any covers and would they have been any good?? thankyou in advance.
ouch
I think Sky should have filled the slot with the Aces v Poole match from last year and run a banner informing viewers that tonight's meeting was abandoned due to an unfit track.
