Sherborne Green
It wasnt on monday really, track was fine apart from a strange hole right on the racing line! Blatant for all to see Did you see it?
Gavan
Trolling is posting to inflame a situation. To cause arguments. Some Poole fans don't seem to grasp that disagreeing is not trolling - as long as you believe it and it's reasonable. well said. the only true troll on here is long gone. Â i say it how i see it as do many others but yet we just get called trolls. I dont like Matt Ford and Middlo is a bit of a fool so if thats trolling so be it
TheReturn
Don't agree with all those moaning that this is in October - speedway has always been run well into October and I've even seen meetings in November! Not disputed speedway can run in October. What we are suggesting is something which is called common sense. If you have national TV coverage through Sky for your so called showpiece event, running in October increases the chance of poor weather.
speedybee
They should be forced to re run it tomorrow, Or Saturday. Ridiculous how much disruption this has caused, not least to Coventry supporters plans!
Gavan
Now I know this might sound really stupid, but, How about the Team that finishes 1st in the League Table are called League Champions??? Then there would be no need to find a dry night in October to run Sky's end of season it's a knock-out competition!! Â Or is that too easy?? i totally agree. Â as much as i say it Poole should be champions they won the league same as Birmingham last year. Â i think though the play offs are here to stay

Ridiculous how much disruption this has caused, not least to Coventry supporters plans! Agree. What's wrong with racing Sunday? Â If not then they would have been racing in play offs Monday anyway so should have been told to restage it Monday and then have play offs wed & Friday. Â Why are they not racing it for another week? flagrag
Lucifer Sam- Yes the final was scheduled in for next Wed but if the Poole vs Kings Lynn meeting is done as well it's another 22k to add to the bill which could again fall victim to the weather so best just to do a mini broadcast which should cost only around £1000-1500 depending whether we show in full or just clips on Sky sports HQ. We have been lucky today with an before broadcast call off have managed to reduce some crewing costs and uplink costs. Would many fans watch the meeting if available via Sky sports website with no commentary, interviews or replays ?  If next week does not happen I can see the final being one off meeting at neutral track maybe KL or Leicester a week on Sat Edited October 9, 2014 by flagrag

spanner47
It's always amazed me that Sky have never insisted on covers. Other sports where they put their money they insist on certain rules and stipulations, as soon as you get promoted to the Premier League certain things have to be done to make live better for them as well. But all the Sky money in Speedway has just ended up in the riders bank accounts, and the sport has seen no improvement whatsoever. I know that Speedway receives peanuts in comparison to other bigger sports, but each club has received a fair chunk of money over the past few seasons, and a few grand on some decent covers wouldn't have broken the bank. But that's Greedway for you.

Agrotron
Yeah stuff it run it on a neutral track I will probably watch it on the site as Flagrag suggested if possible, tuck up with a plate of Cornish pasty and baked beans. That has been proven already.  In any case the covers would have had to be lifted at least a couple of hours beforehand - when there was/is still the threat of rain!!!
