Woz01
The time is 2-15 And the last couple of hours has produced some very heavy rain showers in Poole. If as a few are saying that Poole could not use the same guests on Wednesday if we qualified for the final. How can KL use their guests today if they (the guests) .could possibly be riding at Poole next Wednesday. Surely the eight day rule would still apply. I am now two miles from the track and the rain is torrential, now 2-25 8 day rule only applies if they are guesting on both occasions. P T Preece
I thought the 8 day rule had been scrapped in favor of the 20 minute rule as they had at the Belle Vue double header a couple of weeks ago. When Harris and Andersen rode for both teams.
TheReturn
Why would Poole want covers....???? From what I understand if its off Poole would go through as the highest placed team..!!!! So why would Mat Fraud want it covered...???? Do Poole own track covers?
moxey63
Typical Brits - there's a showpiece speedway meeting on tonight... and we're more interested in talking weather.

Hamish McRaker
Time to put an end to this annual farce. Book the Millenium Stadium (or anywhere else suitable that has a roof) for the Saturday and Sunday after the final Grand Prix of the season. Polish, Swedish and Danish playoffs will have been done and dusted by then, testimonials and individual meetings mostly done and out of the way, leftover league fixtures too. Keep the playoff qualification deadline mid/late September. Run both semi-finals on the Saturday, one-off one-leg matches. First one starts at 4.30pm, second one at 8.00pm. Final on the Sunday. Devise a format which provides two mini-matches or one longer match - but overall 20+ heats, starting at 3.00pm. Schedule the British GP for early in the season (May). Put tickets for finals day on sale early, big discounts for early purchase.(get Barry Hearn or someone similar to do the promotion stuff) Attract a good sponsor. No faffing with will-they-wont-they!! Guaranteed, in the diary. Sorted!

KEITH M
If Poole go through because of the weather playing a part then thats the elite league finished. While I agree it would be a farce it won't finish the Elite League it would just give a few keyboard warriors who don't use proper names and think they own speedway more cause to whinge...

Surely kings lynn will go through as poole may fail to fulfill there fixture so there for give lynn a bye Don't think it's ever happened as it. So will be interesting to see what the bspa come up with

AFCB Wildcat
No idea but I don't suppose Swindon did but they got them from somewhere. Maybe Poole could borrow theirs...??? Not likely to want them anyway are they...???? What would be the point in covering an already wet track anyway? It wouldn't have dried out since Monday with the weather in Poole this week. Joe Beevers
If Poole go through because of the weather playing a part then thats the elite league finished. How can the Elite League be finished if there is still the final. Poole did win the first leg and won the table, so weather or not I think they earned it on merit. Huge respect to the Stsrs if they get a chance to pull it off.
Daniel Smith
I'm in the minority I know but I like the guest facility. I don't overly care who the riders are in my team. A fixed 1-7 or a 1-7 of guests I'm not bothered. I'm a King's Lynn Stars fan and the badge come 1st. The riders, they come and go but the club remains. I just wish others would look at speedway in the same way, it's about the team, the club, home-town pride. COME ON THE STARS
