This IS on Sky Sports 2 on Thursday at 7.30.

It's not showing on the Sky TV Guide yet but is on the Sky+ Application - although it's not letting me record it.

Also Nigel Pearson has tweeted he will there on Sky Sports

I always wondered what happened to Moley. Now we know! Hope they manage to get him out of that hole by Thursday.

Yes mate, thats not a problem,Moley is Kelvin Tatums mate,he will talk to him!!!!

Seriously all this talk of the rut being there, how many times have you seen a rut appear after about 4 races on the bends ? Riders dont stop the meeting to call it off,ok sometimes extra track prep is needed, but they get on with it.When we stood there for quite some time ,i cant understand the logic that this rut is going to cause any real problems, also the moiture in the air and the way the track was(not bone dry) would have been ok to try to race and surely see ?

neither here nor there, the ONLY reason the meeting was called off was that hole on bend 1, NONE of the riders wanted to ride

Nobody is blaming the riders for not riding, But the point is, why was there a hole in the track. and why didn't POOLE rectify the problem.

I'm sure Buster would have done. The truth being they wanted it cancelled to enable them to strengthen their team and enhance the chances of winning.

Lets see what their line-up is on Thursday. :t::t:

I don't personally think it was a tactical call off, just sheer incompetence from the track man. You can't blame people for thinking it though with the form that Ford has for stunt pulling in the pursuit of victory.

The amount of rain which fell can't be disputed and there is obviously only one set of covers which Swindon had, but the fact that once the hole had been created through incompetence the materials and equipment weren't available to rectify it is very poor, amateurish at best. And embarrassed the sport live on telly.

Let's hope its sorted for tomorrow evening.

The question is will Poole now change some of their line up as the 8 day rule now means any riders used tomorrow night can't guest in the final so will either team save some of them for then?

Milik will come back but maybe no other changes, I can see poole winning comfortably now, in my opinion we would have won anyway but probably makes it easier.

Here for those who think they know best is what THE BEST had to say

It’s just a shame they’ve got no new material here,” said Chapman, whose side will have to make the long trip back to Poole on Thursday for the re-arranged meeting. “I can’t believe that a stadium and track with so much pedigree and professionals has got no spare shale to put in. To be honest, one good load of shale would have had the job fixed. You can’t put stones in a hole and that’s what they tried to do. It’s a sorry state to be quite honest with you. We put so much passion and pride into what we do at Lynn and I don’t understand why others don’t do it.”

taken from the Eastern Daily Press. I've just put the relevant bits in bold

Now as Buster is acknowledged by just about everyone as the best track curator in the country, I think his opinion is more valid than anyone else's on this forum.

Could be a Poole double this year with Speedway and Football. Conference league Football beckons down Dorset way. Is their Current stadium up to the job or will they be moving into Wimborne Road ? If so could be interesting to see how Matt copes with Eddie. I know where I would put my money. ;)

Lewis Kerr made some interesting comments on Twitter about the First leg and riders not wanting to ride.

Again it should not have gone ahead and only did so at Sky's insistence..............

Football and speedway shared the stadium for many years til about 20 years ago there is no reason should not share again............Eddie Mitchell however is another kettle of fish and I would not trust him in a million years.............

The 8-day rule does not apply to riders covering a team's Number 1, so it will only affect whoever is chosen to replace Josh G.
