stevebrum
Was no mention of it tonight only next mon & wed. Thats why i asked. No mention of it at all on SKY even when confirmed. I am assuming Red Panda is just guessing Edited October 6, 2014 by stevebrum
foreverblue
I expected better from you. I`ve heard worse. Nothing would surprise me where Poole are concerned. As far as I know there is only one set of track covers and swindon had them, didnt make much difference as im sure most robins fans would have wanted to see some racing which the wet track denied them
Daniel Smith
Shame for us Stars fans the rescheduled fixture won't be on Sky. Hopefully Bet365 will do something. Certainly can see Poole strengthening up for Thursday. Milik returning & possibly Batchelor at No'1 now will rule us out. The fixture tonight was our only chance I feel.
klstarts3bm
Think both sides will struggle to get decent guests, All the riders that have been mentioned on here for both clubs will all have the final GP in mind.
SCB
Let's hope Charles Wright is fit for Thursday. Why? Use Garrity!
LagutaRacingFan
Why? Use Garrity! With Garritys injury history, I can't see the Bees letting him guest. Steve Worrall perhaps?
Gavan
You can't really put into words the level Poole go to to win. This should be re run with the same teams but we know it won't be. Come on Lynn get hold of Kildemand or Batchelor first. Lets just hope and pray that if Lynn can't do it then Coventry will beat them in the final. Disgrace of a club with a disgrace of a track. Swindon did everything they could to get the meeting on knowing full well the track wouldn't suit. Poole did everything they could to get it called off. Farce of a club

I was there and both stes of riders did not want to ride. Also no track covers at Poole as the only set was at Blunsdon. Sorry but your post sums up all what is wrong with this forum. Sorry but your post sums up all what is wrong with this forum. What happened last night made a total mockery of what Buster done last week. Lewis Kerr has put on twitter the riders had no choice and wasn't asked of the conditions. I except what you say about none of the rider wanted to race, but the damage had already been done. Knowing the problem with the track on the first bend, I'm sure that could have been protected, had they had wanted too. After all the rest of the track was said to be racable. Any Tarpaulin would have done the trick. But no....... The truth is Poole knew they would have a stronger team on another day and looked for any excuse possible. Is it any wonder that Poole are such a hated club when they are allowed to get away with such manipulation like last night......... Lets see what see changes take place before the re-run..
Bagpuss
Buster on the wireless this morning bemoaning the fact that a club with the supposed stature of Poole doesn't have the equipment to sort a wet track out for their most important meeting of the season and that the circuit needs a lot of work before Thursday. Also heard a rumour that Ford has asked Buster for his help to sort it out but not sure if that's true. All a bit embarrassing for Poole and the sport really.

Buster is right and despite all the hard work from the ground-staff - the track was poor due to the rain plus that ridiculous rut on the first bend that should have been dealt with a long-time ago. It is an embarrassment to Poole Speedway and supporters and I don't blame all the riders for making the decision to not risk a serious injury. Nevertheless, some of the Poole Paranoia on here is also embarrassing. Edited October 7, 2014 by Poole Quay 7
Star Lady
If as seems possible, the Poole track is not in a fit state on Thursday, will the riders be allowed to refuse to ride in the interests of safety. It seems they were not given that option last Monday but were last night. I've no quarrel with last night's decision BTW.
foreverblue
Buster has always been brilliant at sorting a track out and maybe should of got his help but they messed it up when it was relaid a couple of years ago and in bad conditions breaks up. It doesnt look good on poole but we didnt spend all day working on the track because we wanted it cancelled.Hopefully they will have another go at sorting it out in the winter so this sort of embarassment doesnt happen again
mrlincolncity
Hahahahaaaaaaaa iv kept away from tv n internet due to work and was all set to record last nights meetings to watch wednesday night. But i just knew poole would wangle a rain off! Hahaha brilliant, i love the way they twist just about every rule or decision that could and probably would go against them into going for them.

Sorry but your post sums up all what is wrong with this forum. Is this true? The ONLY SET? Surely, every club, in the EL at least, should have a set. They can't cost that much compared to the millions that Sky have pumped in over the years, what happened to that money? Even if TWO SETS were made available for this very situation, it's not as if this is the first time we've had the play offs and we all know how the weather can be ... IT'S OCTOBER! And if there is only one set, why was only half of it used at Swindon? The starting grid was appalling.
Poole Quay 7
Read Gordon Bennett's Post #319 (above yours) for a realist viewpoint, i.e. Buster Chapman. That's not trolling - have you got a response? If Iw as a Pole fan I would definitely be asking why no effort was made to protect the track and get it ready for such an important meeting. The promoter is happy to throw his dosh around to resolve certain problems, but not others. Also it's remarkable and laughable to think that British Speedway only has one set of track covers - that is such a genuine LOL it's beyond comprehension. What has all the Sky money been spent on? Oh well, at least Sky has got it's major sporting event to challenge the ratings alongside San Marino's vital European Championship qualifier on terrestrial TV My response has already been given to Gordon Bennett's post and my reference to " trolling" was directed at gavan. Incidentally, I'm a Poole fan, not a " Pole" fan As for your other comments I'm actually in agreement with all of them.
