scaramanga
You will never get an answer to that Question I'm afraid. i agree with you on this and lets be honest do we go and tell everyone how much or little we earn
Rider Replacement
i agree with you on this and lets be honest do we go and tell everyone how much or little we earn No you're missing my point, I keep seeing that certain riders are too expensive and from the lay persons perspective I would like to know what they call BIG points money. Incidentally footballers wages and most of there pay deal is common knowledge, so why not speedway, as third hand that's who pay the riders through the turnstiles and supporters clubs etc. Perhaps a little more transparency would be good for the sport?

mac101
With wages riders you have a lot to think about do they get a van a free flat if coming from aus flight to and from this country if they race in Europe free tyre £42 per meeting insurance per race is about a £5 travel money everything is tied into it sum get sponsored these things some have less per point until they hit their average then anything over it ithe points money goes up and so on there is a lot more to it really and every rider is different who would want to be a promotor
Marksman
Rene Bach our third signing, not too happy to be honest!
Django
Rene certainly has a lot to prove, massive season ahead for him. Doesn't look like we will get a big hitting number 1 now unless the team is very top heavy which I doubt. I think Bach and Hansen will be too inconsistent for us to challenge for honours, we need a Grajczonek or Lawson as well which I doubt we will get. Best of luck to them
Lord Lucan
Rene Bach our third signing, not too happy to be honest! Â If I'd had a bet on this I'd have just lost my money, didn't look happy at all back end of the season and almost guaranteed to be looking for pastures new, unless something has happened behind the scenes to sort out any problems he might have been experiencing, I tend to agree with Marksman, possibly not the best of moves? Haven't people been saying that for 4 years now?, can't see it myself, the thing is away from home he scores 4 or 5 points too often, can't see much change unfortunately. Only 22.5 left for 4 riders now, one of Wells, Grajczonek, Howarth won't be back if not more, would of settled for Wells instead of Bach I think. I think the bad injury he sustained at brough put him back a long time imo real shame because he was fantastic to watch before that. I'd love to see him get back to how he was but I'm not sure if he will.... He really needs to learn to gate though would make his life so much easier lol Edited November 25, 2014 by ren
Robinh88
Bach has found his level, good old Promoter propaganda though
Django
I really hope you are right Ren. He was a great rider before that horrific injury but over the last 3 years has gradually faded away. We all want him to be successful but it's a big gamble, I really hope it pays off, the promotion deserve a bit of luck

But as you say he does seem to have some shockers as well now. The way your team looks like it's shaping up your going for strength in depth didn't do our team any harm couple of seasons ago as long as you have a strong reserve like we did with Kerr otherwise it could be a long season ahead
GM
Three years on the trot Rene has dropped his average at Workington and I can not see that changing next season. I believe he is the worst captain the Comets have ever had. He does not team ride and offers little help to anyone but himself. Very exciting at times but the times are few and far between nowadays sadly.
workyboy
Just hope Rene has thick skin, welcome back Rene. Just don't turn your bach on this lot, or the knife will be in to you. Â I sincerely hope we don't sign Kyle Howarth, waste of space except at Coventry!!
madsteve
Well I have to agree with allot of these posts about Rene being back at Workington for the 2015 season. With him now signed I think (unless more shocks) the team will now consist of: 1. Kenneth Hansen (7.70)2. Rene Bach (7.64)3. Richie Worrall (7.32)4. Ricky Wells (6.49)5. Adam Roynon (4.78)6. Mason Campton (4.66)7. Simon Lambert (3.73) Â Leaving 0.18 Â But I will probably be wide of the mark - again!
