Marksman
Something as gone on. Why would lakeside sell him back to worky who don't plan on using him  Did you see the Quote from steve on the Comets forum, seems like a great bit of business. I don't think Richard will have had any say in it, or does he intend to ride for the Comets again. Especially while his dad is still in the Comets pits! madsteve
I wonder how many more Dane's we are going to sign  There is still room for 2 more - combinations of either:  Lasse Bjerre (8.65) Ulrich Ostergaard (8.00) Ludvig Lindgren (7.12) Claus Vissing (7.09) Theo Pijper (7.09) Nicolai Klindt (6.68) Steen Jensen (6.24) Anton Rosen (6.69) Simon Nielsen (3.36)  Although we still have a couple of other nationality's still possibly in the mix:  Craig Cook Rusty Harrison Ricky Wells Adam Roynon  To name a few

Django
Shame about Jorgensen going to Berwick, best of luck to him, he seems a nice guy. I think we may see Vissing and Ricky as the last 2. It might be Kyle and one of those 2 as well, just hope he has his head in the game if it is  On the Lawson thing it seems like a sound bit of business on the Comets behalf, just wonder if it was a similar deal with Kyle as rumour suggests he now a Swindon asset. Halifaxtiger
 Nah---totally unfair---got a bigger EL average than his PL due to beating aload of fast track riders i could have beat riding a 3 legged donkey  You obviously didn't go to Belle Vue last season.  Palm Toft was an unqualified success, way exceeding anyone's expectations. He became hugely popular, simply because in every race he absolutely refused to give in. I was astonished when Nicholls got rider of the year.  To suggest that he gained two points on his average because in two races he had fast track opponents - often of the calibre of Newman, Worrall, Garrity & Kerr - in races with him is nonsense.  If he rides like he did for the Aces - and there's no reason why not - Workington have made a good signing. I think most would agree with the those sentiments.  What I cannot understand is why Scunthorpe are not using Palm Toft, on that average  They have effectively used an inexperienced foreign teenager instead on a higher assessed average than that of Pal Toft, not very often that Rob Godfrey gets things wrong with his team building, but in this case I think he has dropped the proverbial one.  The Workington Promotion must have been wetting themselves when they found out Palm Toft was available what a gift from Mr Godfrey.
