SCB
12pm is noon. Pedant But you are correct! the Danish league wasnt professional enough going by the Brady Kurtz assessment last year so dont see that he should be anything other than a 5. There you go then, Scunny announce him on a 3, the BSPA say no he should be a 7, they haggle and agree on a 5. Sorted. Still be a point too high, I see nothing from other results to suggest he'll get anything over 4.

Edit misread the quoted post initially. Can see now you didnt mean he should be assessed at 4 rather that you feel thats all he will acheive. Islander15
From Finland and Estonia won't come under the "professional league" banner will they? And if has only ridden 1 official match for Lodz, then I'm assuming he won't have an established average, so I'm guessing he will be in category 3, so will be on a 5.00 average. But it says: 'Cat 3: Riders not riding in a Professional Speedway League and Commonwealth or USA (to a maximum of 4 each season) Riders new to British Speedway' but he isn't commonwealth or USA so surely he doesn't fit and he's a 7.00 Edited November 14, 2014 by Islander15

Guest WTF1
And this is why speedway is fast sliding down the pan with all the ridiculous rules and regulations that most supporters find confusing, as far as i am concerned this sport should be about 4 riders producing entertainment on the track and not a rule book that's full of b-----ks

stratton
The guy might be decent, i follow the Scorpians and i admire the promotion but this risk of a signing is a mega risk. The PL is a tough league and both Jorgenson and Birks fired out is a risk.
SCB
Yet another second rate foreigner cluttering up PL team places.Second rate? I'd he that good? No doubt Scunny fans will think I'm being harsh but I'm still waiting for Jorgensen to get 7 that I was told he'd get in his first year

Along with his first season being 2011. He'll never get the 7 point average in 2011 that a load of Scunny fans said he would get and still tried to a argue the following season and you just have now Edited November 15, 2014 by SCB
thebaron
Not much to get your teeth into from the B-est S-tick (wi't same old) P-lan A-gain Conference. But seeing as thats all we're getting then best get on with it. So roll on March and lets get behind Speedway in 2015 and make most of it. On the Scorps front with 42.50 pts limit ratified; assuming Lunno on 5 + a 3pt rider-Matty O or Perks . Add Howe Douglas and Auty my calculator is saying 13.11 to fiddle around with. Anders Mellgren if? he is on 6.57 and Lewis Blackbird 6 30. That would be half decent. Or go for a top entertainer like Uli Ostergaard 8.00 and a 5pt rider..notice Leigh Lanham is on 4.90 or Jason Bunyan who is on 4.66. Paul Johnson
My calculations maybe wrong but i had, Howe,Auty,Douglas,Lunna,a new rider from Sweden on a 5?,Perks, leaves 8.11 for one more rider
Paul Johnson
If rob wants to get fans back to Ewr then entertaining riders have to be a must. so my choice has to be Ostergaard, i would like to see Klindt back but after rob talked to him at the last meeting, he would need to lower his fee

What do u mean fired out? Both left as they wanted to ride elsewhere Yet another second rate foreigner cluttering up PL team places. That remains to be seen, but I can't see a line of decent young Brits lined up to replace them can you? Until we do riders like Nike are needed in British speedway...also..have you actually seen him ride much?
spin king
What do u mean fired out? Both left as they wanted to ride elsewhere I don't know about Jorgensen, but in Ashley's case it blindingly obvious that Ash was going to be at Sheffield this coming season. One of his major sponsors is now a Promoter at the club, and another is heavily involved with Sheffield speedway.

moomin man 76
In Nike Lunna, the promotion are signing a rider with 'potential.' How much potential remains to be seen. Remember, he is only eighteen years old and outside of Finland relatively inexperienced. Comparisons with Palovaara at Glasgow aren't fair, as Palovaara, as a Swede has had consistently greater access to a higher level of racing in Sweden than Nike Lunna has had in Finland. In the longer-term though, Lunna may well prove the better rider. He is certainly the best young prospect in Finland at present and he wants to make a professional career for himself as a rider. As you will see his style is certainly entertaining!
JCookie
Fine prospect, might well be the next Tero Aarnio.
