Shale Searcher
Or covers on rollers, that are at fence height just the other side of the air fence, you then pull um over and down over the kerb and they stop (like roller blinds) and pin the inner end to the grass, the edges would have large velco areas to seal the pararallel joins over the track.. SCB
Does anybody know where we have to pick up the pre-booked tickets for Monday's meeting? I bought them on the Sky Sports site & was advised that an e-mail would be sent in a few days with details of where to pick up the tickets but have heard nothing yet! Same here. Anyone able to help? Grachan
Same here. Anyone able to help? I reckon the best thing to do is print off the email, take some ID and just show both when you go in.
Steve0
Was a wild night last night weather wise - I hope the covers have done their job
Reliant Robin
This sheeting job could present some big problems, not least that rain is generally predicted until around 2pm so by the time they've removed the covers, that leaves precious little time to start preparing the track... Hmmm. No different to any normal Monday at Swindon to be fair where they are limited on what they can do due to dogs. And much better than the track being too wet to work on. DunRobin
I've had it too. But thanks. Received my e-mail today also but why oh why can't they give out this info earlier to stop the worry! Invite customers in, don't try to drive them away with shoddy admin!

Invite customers in, don't try to drive them away with shoddy admin! Agreed. It would have been so simple to stick it all on the first email. Also going to be fun if they have an issue with me showing my email on my phone as it says to bring the printed confirmation. I can't do that as I'm in work now and our printer/copier is knackered until the engineer gets in tomorrow so I have no way of printing it. I'm guessing all they really need is the ID on the email anyway.

We did this sky tickets offer at swindon few months ago through the season ticket entrance, took ages to get in with one guy looking through pages of names
Jacques
Weather has been shocking so can't see even with sheets & no more rain this will be on. Terrible in my part of SW during the night and early morning. I hope they tied those sheets down well It's cleared from here now and has brightened up, so we may be ok

Looking at the radars you're getting what we've had here in Newport/Cardiff but about 2 hours later. It stopped raining here about 60-90 minutes ago now fingers crossed it's about to stop your way. theblueboy
Weather brightening here in Bristol too. Is a 'pitch inspection' scheduled anytime soon? It is either raceable or not after the rain last night so I would hope the management/Sky will make an early decision about the track state and clarify via all available media sites what is going on. I am leaving my travel arrangements until the last minute so I will not be best pleased if this is called off and there is no further rain between now and start time. I would imagine they will know as soon as they take the covers up won't they. All forecasts i've seen say rain stops at 2pm so surely they will wait until then to take them up. So I reckon by 2.30 we will know where we stand.

It depends on what time the greyhound racing starts because they are not allowed on the track during the racing
