Gemini
.....grachan..... Just when he was asked if Barker was riding he said something about him being fit but they didn't want to bring him back into the side for such an important meeting. Something like that anyway!! Check your post again as you've missed the point I was making. It's not so funny now you didn't get it. ... In which case fair enough. I was just going on what Gay Havelock said on the television. Grachan
Sheeting up the track tomorrow. So presumably as long as it is a dry evening there will be no problems. It will be interesting to see what sort of track it produces, though, as the general consensus is that covering the track causes problems. The only other meeting I recall the track being covered eforehand was the Jan Andersson Testimonial at Reading and the track was very slick and patchy but at least the meeting could go ahead. mdmc82
Any ideas when the meeting would be rearranged for if rained off tomorrow? Rain forecast for most of the week. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2636389?day=1 Edited October 5, 2014 by mdmc82

Woz01
Let's hope the rain covers do a good job. Only concern is where will the standing water go.

ghcooke
Well, the track is now sheeted up and ready for whatever the weather can throw at it. speedybee
This sheeting job could present some big problems, not least that rain is generally predicted until around 2pm so by the time they've removed the covers, that leaves precious little time to start preparing the track... Hmmm.
Studland Bee
Not a good warm up for Bomber and Hans Andersen in the Czech Golden Helmet today. I really hope they can both ride well tomorrow and lead from the front for Coventry, I have reservations about Andersen if I am honest, has not looked anything like his best in the last few meetings. I have bought a box of San Miguel for this one to calm the nerves! I also think Peter Kildemand is awesome, cant help but like the guy, I wish he was a Coventry rider like he should have been. May the best team win, and all stay safe.
