Grachan
Well that was disappointing. Felt good turning up to Blunsdon to see a good crowd and a good atmosphere building. But before they'd even ad one race I thought we were going to get a beating. The Coventry side were all out on the track together and looked like a proper team. One thing I didn't understand was they said there was no presentation because they wanted to get on with things. Then spent another 20 minutes working on the track. Within a couple of races the atmosphere died. It was clear that Coventry were up for it. They were much quicker out the starts, while Swindon riders were pulling out of races when at the back. Not good from Swindon really. I expected more. We could at least have gone down fighting. Ironically, we rode a lot better once we'd been eliminated and the track improved.
Gresham78
Congratulations to the Bees on reaching the final. Adapted to the conditions far better than the Robins and seemed to want it more - no complaints from this Swindon fan. Very pleased for Kyle Howarth; he put in some good performances for Swindon last year, especially away from home and after being dumped by Poole deserves some success this year. If you've recorded it, I recommend you watch it. There isn't anything special in the meeting itself, but it's worth a look, considering how some had written us off

foreverblue
Awful meeting on a wet track, bad luck to the robins as conditions played into the bees hands, gives the pirates a better chance of winning.

What's happened to Shovlar. Shouldn't he be on here predicting the usual bluewash. Well done the Bees. A late finish is better than an early start.. Middlo will be going through his little black book now trying to book a ringer for the finals. So let's all get behind KL just to make it more intersting

SCB
It's a shame HagonShocker doesn't post on here any more after his rant about our arrogance and how they were go to beat us (I noted the irony at the time). HaHahaHaha! BritPete, if you're going to quote someone get it right. I said it made the job harder, not impossible.

Wackie
As a neutral if I hadn't pre-paid for tickets I wouldn't have bothered going along to tonight meeting after the dank day we've had. Turned out a worthwhile trip to see Swindon get such a humiliating spanking at home, which could have been even worse. The locals weren't happy!
Speedy swindon pete
Ouch. Managed to get online to have a look at live updates at about heat 10 to see we were getting tonked. Took the shine off a fun day. Reading through the comments and not having seen any footage, it's sounds as if Cov were a lot sharper in pretty much every department and the swindon boys were looking rather flat. At least I don't have to worry about missing the final now. Well done coventry. Certainly plenty of steel in that side. I had a nagging doubt in my mind over how the swindon riders would ride together after a fairly decent gap between our last fixture and the play offs. I think it was the 2009 season when we were in the final against wolves. We ended the season very well, but then had a long break between the last match and the semi, and we didn't look the same team at all from a few weeks previous. I think it was coventry that we struggled past in that semi too. It sounds like something similar had happened in the last couple of weeks. I honestly think if we'd gone from that good final run of results and a week later gone straight into the playoffs, we'd have kept that momentum and gone through. But not to be. Funny reading people talking about swindon fans over confidence coming back and smacking them in the face. What were they expecting people to say?? We were the form team finishing the season, the bookies had made us favourites and the team was riding brilliantly from top to bottom. If we'd have started writing off our chances and playing as the underdogs then the same people would have been labelling us as deluded egits for not acknowledging that we were in a very handy position. You can't have it both ways. As it happens, we didn't turn up over the two legs, which makes it all the more disappointing to not be in the final. I'll probably have to wait a couple of weeks to watch and analyse the match, through parted fingers no doubt. At least Swindon Town are taking the wee wee in league one at the moment whilst Coventry in their massive stadium wallow in bottom half. So, nur! C'mon KL! Last night they showed as Havvy said that it was just a rare off night and they were back in the form we know Edited October 7, 2014 by mdmc82
Dornier
When it comes to Playoffs, I really don't agree with the use of tacticals, this is when they should be banned for all four teams imo. Hope they are not used next monday by any team including Swindon. Its a good job you used the tactical otherwise it would have been a total whitewash
dump that clutch
I`ve no sympathy for Rosco he`s done nowt but slag the Coventry track off. he`s got his just desserts. Well done to the Coventry team they did better than I thought but I`m not afraid of eating humble pie. Bet the pirates are sheeting themselves bit of a difference between the two... Coventry prepared their $hite whereas Swindon's track was weather prepared... fair play to Coventry as it played perfectly into their hands.
