Joe Beevers
Well done to the Bees. Kyle Howarth you were excellent and take a deserved bow. Will it be a battle of the Kyle's in the final I wonder?
Agrotron
That has to be the worst display of gating ive ever seen from a team. Pathetic and not covering the start is no excuse at all. It was the same for Coventry. Very hard to be disappointed after that because we were pure gash! Hopefully Howarth rides like that in the final and puts one over Poole for dropping him last year. Bravo I am glad someone actually said it
Jacques
Coventry Bees in the playoff final. Well I didn't predict it, no way! I'm so happy, I could burst .. There was quite a bit of arrogance showed by some from Swindon and it's bitten you in the ass. Just saying.. Hey coombedog, how do you feel now, Mr Big?
SPEEDY69
What a dull meeting, devoid of racing - should've been called off
noggin
I was never that confident before last monday, and one bad day at the office by the Bees at Blunsdon seemed to create some sort of invinsibility in our team that was just asking for trouble, we were the fourth best team and so it showed when it mattered, Bees wanted it more and fully deserved the wins! Crazy robin
You are just leaving yourself wide open there - as they both last ride for Swindon! That was the start of their improvement though:-)
stevebrum
Are you for real? that is why it is so crap less meetings fans short changed season tickets (ect) DId you ever see cup competititions four team tournaments challenges pairs meeting's( ect). a probable no you must be easily pleased. Are YOU for Real?? You keep banging on and on about what was good in the good old days. Time has moved on , Speedway has moved on. NO, i`m not easily pleased. I saw how big Speedway was in the 70`s and how a successful sport it was. Sadly you cant move with the times instead keep harping on about the good old days. Nothing is different - there was no glory for teams in the 70`s other than a cup and winning position (Nothing changed). Challenge fixtures, KO Cups, Regional competitions were liked and supported and now they aren't. So its YOU that is in a minority because people have voted with there (lack of) feet for those kind of competitions these days. The Play Offs are nothing new in Sport and Speedway has embraced them . The FANS have embraced them. In ye ole days only a few teams were in with a chance of winning the League title and for the rest a season of nothingness. The fans got behind their teams back then. Now less so because they have more choice what to do with there time/money/interest/lives these days. Stay in the blinkered past if you want. The Play Offs bring glory to the sport, backed up by the fact the fans turn out to watch them INSTEAD of the other competitions you mentioned. Maybe you need to smell some coffee sometime soon.
Studland Bee
Well done Coventry Bees, what a performance, all the riders chipped in but Howarth and Fricke rode out their skin. The team spirit looked good, its looking like another Coventry v Poole final, can't wait, but hopefully not with another winter of discontent after the Bees win! Another mid week San Miguel for me to finish an excellent night. Feel sorry for the Swindon fans, but clearly the track conditions helped Coventry. LagutaRacingFan
Coventry are in the final but if they lose to the Pirates then It will be a huge embarrassment, It's sometimes better to lose in the semis to a non-rival than you're rival in the final. Once Lynn are out of the way, We can look forward to a final fitting of the Elite League.
65Sarge
I turned on and took one look at the track and wished I'd bet heavily on Coventry tonight. It seems when Swindon and Coventry meet if it's dry and a well prepared track Swindon are the winners, if it's wet and a poor circuit Coventry win. Well ridden Coventry you seemed better prepared for the poor racing circuits that were presented so no arguments from me as a Robins follower, when it boiled down to it we were beaten by the team that seemed to want it more. I just hope the final is a better spectacle than the semis have been, because for me speedway has been the loser with the weather ruining any chance we had of enjoyable competitive quality speedway in the semis, C'est la Vie. Let's hope for a safe final with decent race tracks to watch it on, but given the likely finalists and the time of year, I fear it will be a ploughed field final too
LagutaRacingFan
Rosco didn't seem that disappointed to me, He looked happy getting the big crowd in and £££ Understandable in this economic climate
van wolfswinkel
Well done Cov. fully-deserved, surprise win, they wanted it more and gated much better, congratulated a few Midlanders on the way out. At least they didn't throw eggs at the home fans again! Looked like 2 different teams to the last meeting 4 weeks ago. Howarth was excellent. At least Gusto came round to say thank you to the fans(the only one).Hope the Bees win the final now, a mainly English team. Glad we didn't have to stand there and watch the other match as well. Decent crowd over 2000 soon went quiet, very little passing. Edited October 6, 2014 by keef van cross

Jacques
Oh I don,t know I rather enjoyed it after listening to Swindon fans on here for the last couple of weeks. Haha., You don't listen when you read. However, the confidence bordered arrogance and they were found wanting tonight. Swindon "no balls" Robins
EnglishRoundabout
ABSOULUTELY DISGUSTING! All of the effort from our fans for it to be thrown back in there faces because conditions aren't 100% perfect. My last ever time going to watch Swindon after this pathetic spitting dummies out performance. Have the riders been throwing there toys out of there prams on Sky? Your loyalty didn't last long then. What was it one season?
king billy j
Very proud of tonight's performance, feel sorry for the Swindon fans though. They are a better team than they showed tonight, track never helped. Also well done to the volunteers that covered the track sterling effort by all. Just hoping for kings lynn to perform a miracle on Thursday, couldn't cope with losing to Poole in the final.
BritPete
Just got up to check the result. It's hard to believe that we were the form team before the play-offs started. How different we've been since! Well done to Coventry though, and history may well repeat itself here. Ever since Coventry booted that wasted of space MJJ, out, "SCB" and "Blu panther" have told us time and time again that Coventry could not possibly win the league without him, and "SCB" pointed out that having to use guests for Barker, would also be a disaster. Wrong on both counts. At least I will be home from China on Thursday, to watch the Poole V KL, match. Bed now1
ytsejam
Well, thats been 3 tediously boring "Gate fests" so far in the play offs, and with the forecast for this week, no doubt Thursday will be the same. This season must go down as the most boring ever for the SKY Elite meetings at least, as there's barely been one good one (as far as actual racing and people passing) all year, the only thing that has saved a few has been the fact that the match scores have been close. And as for Pearson's continued fawning all evening over the covering of the track, how about asking a question and being a bit critical about the stupidity of only covering the bends?....makes you really wonder about the intelligence of those who run and promote the sport, when they make such glaring errors like this that once again, turn yet another meeting into a boring farce.
