Edinburgh V Newcastle Koc Semi Final 1st Leg Fri 3 Oct 7.30pm

Why do you think it's a "joke question"?

All I'm asking is, if they could do the scheme I mentioned in my earlier post for the Redcar/Glasgow Double-Header, why not do it for this one?

Might be that the Newcastle/Peterborough is a cup semi + cup final and so more attractive

I think it was same price for the earlier double header. The £2 parking at Edinburgh along with one of the highest admission charges in the league make it an expensive trip.

Do Edinburgh pay the people on the gate?I thought they would be fans and do it for nothing or free entry

I would not think they pay any where near the costs that have been mentioned regarding turnstile people, transportation and Bank Charges to justify £3 difference on admission but it seems to work for them ,certainly crowds are not as big as they would have you imagine IMO .

am sure you know what I meant,,, but the 'cyber-cash' must go into some kind of account :-(

Yes, a Newcastle Speedway one set up to accept income from the sales.

No we don't get paid, and Blobby is correct, the credit card payment is still available.

There were discussions to move card reader over to the cash gate last week, but as far as I'm aware it was decided to keep it in in the advanced ticket booth for the time being.

Let's be honest if there was no discount on the online price then there would not be much point buying online. Especially now you can pay by card on the gate it's not like we are going to sell out. For offering a discount monarchs get money in the bank and in the event of a rain off they essentially get an advance which is handy for cash flow.

It's incredibly difficult for promotions these days and £24 does seem a bit steep but they will still make a loss. I think as an Edinburgh fan with a tough match against Newcastle and a cup final it is well worth it

Not as steep as £27 at the gate though.
