MusicMan
Aye if you get to see 30 heats which I very much doubt I assume you weren't at Armadale on September 12th then. Or the four other doubler headers in previous years that also came to a 30 heat conclusion. Edited October 7, 2014 by MusicMan
Tsunami
£24 for a cup semi final and a final is a good price IMO Might be if it was 30 heats and £24, but the real price is £27 unless you put the money up first by buying tickets online. Fromafar
£24 for a cup semi final and a final is a good price IMOOnly if you buy online before Friday otherwise it's £27 ,which is annoying to casual fans ,obviously they are well supported not to need these type of fans. Daft question, but what if you only want to watch one of the matches? Did they not have some kind of arrangement for the Redcar/Glasgow Double-Header, that if you were there for the first match, you paid full price, but, if you left before the second match started you got refunded some money by showing your ticket on the way out? Likewise if you turned up only for the second match you only paid the normal entrance fee? Is there a similar arrangement for this Friday?? No there isnt unfortunately I sent them a tweet and they confirmed that you would have to pay the double header price. I will be getting mine early as I think £27 is steep considering the double header at Berwick was only £20 I think.

Personally I don't think paying more on the day is a good thing in a sport that is struggling for support. Not everybody has internet access.

Mr Blobby
Double headers are difficult to price you need to try and set a price that is reasonable but not making a major loss. The promotion are trying to make a small a loss as possible or break even and these are the prices that have been set to try and achieve this. cyclone
What are your thoughts on different price on the day of match. Edinburgh offer discounted online price for all their matches. I was told that online transaction charges are less than the costs charged in respect of cash payments transported and lodged at a bank. ruffdiamond
Edinburgh offer discounted online price for all their matches. I was told that online transaction charges are less than the costs charged in respect of cash payments transported and lodged at a bank. online payments make use of the bank's computer and cyber-money,,, and your not actually having to pay some-one to sit on the gate, and as cyclone said, there's no cost of transporting the 'dosh' to said bank, which would probly happen the next working day,,, maybe the way forward to stop this, would be to have automated ticket machines and barrier's, (like what we have here on the 'Metro' system), you only have to pay the electricity to run them, which is probly cheaper than 'manual labour',,, oh, and the price of installing them :-(

I will be getting mine early as I think £27 is steep considering the double header at Berwick was only £20 I think. Shame. It'll be interesting to see how many Diamonds fans make the trip North this Friday, seeing as last week Edinburgh said "It's three o'clock and sunny and the match is definately ON," (three o'clock being the time fans would have been thinking about setting off), only for them to call it off at 6 o'clock when the travelling fans will have been most of the way there. Then to put it on as a Double-header and charge £27 and for fans to have to fork out for fuel for the second week running. So in total, some fans will have spent nigh on £100 (if not more) over the two Friday's (add on to that food, Prog costs, etc.). So what's the difference between Redcar/Glasgow and Newcastle/Peterborough?? And you wonder fans are walking away from the sport! ruffdiamond
how much of the cash from a speedway actually makes it to a bank account? ok,,, probly none off it, especially if it's paid 'on the door',,, but, the online money has to go into some kind of account,,, in Newcastle's case, it's probly into 'William Hills', just like mine, I like it in there cos they are open every day, (apart from Christmas Day and Good Friday, I think),,, and they have more sociable opening hours ;-) oh,,, and there's probly one in every town or village you come across, lol Edited October 8, 2014 by ruffdiamond

That is unless it is the Stadium rent fee, which is paid later.
Mr Blobby
I don't know if we still are but we were doing credit card payments at the online ticket gate a few weeks back at the last double header.
