mikebaker
In the local rag. Jitendra Duffill has stated looking at 3 foreign riders. All of them would keep Graversen (4.14) at reserve.

That's a very generous interpretation of "The Bears will be hoping the new addition comes in on an average that would keep 2014 South Tees Silver Helmet winner Jan Graversen at reserve."
mikebaker
Adam Ellis with 2.5% reduction is 4.55, and would fit.

You look at that 4 and then you look at Adam Ellis and you wonder what he has to do to get a job. He's better than all 4 of them IMO. SCB
Not miss 25% of the meetings, and then have to use guests who wont do the job aswell. So have a rubbish rider 100% of the time. Or have a decent one 75% of the time but have to use a rider whos not so good the other 25%? No brainer for me.

I agree with you, he's better than all four of those mentioned and IMO has more potential and talent than all four of them put together, but riding for Lakeside on Friday's has definitely been a big problem for him. I think if he was riding for an EL club on a less busy PL night, then he'd probably have been back at Ipswich.

No brainer for me.especially as you no longer are limited to a NL guest for the No7.Not that I think that Adam would remain at reserve - IMO he would break into the top 5 IF he gets a chance this year. If he wasnt at Lakeside I believe he wouldve had his pick of half a dozen offers this year.

If I was Redcar I'd be having a word and asking will they at least make him available for home meeting. He'd miss Somerset away in May but could ride at Plymouth as Lakeside have no meeting. He'd miss Edinburgh away but I'd write that off anyway, I don't see anyone getting much at Edinburgh. But he's free tor ride at Edinburgh in the KOC if they make it. Lakeside have no meeting when Redcar are at Somerset either but eh would miss Scunthorpe in the league. Looks like very few clashes at all if Lakeside agree to let him ride at Redcar when they're at Swindon - as it stands, there is only one clash there too. As the second time Lakeside are at Swindon, Redcar have a blank that week at home. especially as you no longer are limited to a NL guest for the No7. Not that I think that Adam would remain at reserve - IMO he would break into the top 5 IF he gets a chance this year. If he wasnt at Lakeside I believe he wouldve had his pick of half a dozen offers this year. Adam would start in the 1-5 at Redcar.

SCB
Would Ellis still get the 2.5% reduction though? Rider get the 2.5% reduction off their first 3 averages. This is his 3rd season of PL racing so he gets a reduction this year and next.
2ndbendbeerhut
Ah you mean first 3 after assessed ave, so 3.00 for 1st year then 3 reductions....?
