Redcar 2015.

So what about the alleged 2 year loan deal?

change the rules when it suits

and as for 21 grand ridiculous to say the very least

Key words here - alleged (no substantiation) and rules (what rules have been broken?)

No fan of Havvy Senior but his priorities should be sorting out the Redcar team not Berwicks.

i'v heard this before arson I wonder when :wink:

Can't believe that Kus would really prefer riding for Redcar over Berwick. He was a depressed young man at Redcar, with very little support, but made himself a fans favourite and a match winner on a track much more suited to his style. Took him a little while to get started, but when he did, he scored big and big points means bigger wages. Perhaps Kus feared he would not get a ride and bowed to the pressure and the alternative.

if kus had a backbone and really wanted to be at berwick.... He wouldnt have signed for redcar surely??

Okay so nothing to do with pricing a rider so that basically no team can afford him and either he sucks it up rides for Redcar or ends up without a premier league club.

Hardly fair imo

21 grand is not a lot of money these days. i think barney kennet had 10 grand round his neck years ago. 70s or some thing like that. so its inline with inflation.

Christ get real with yourself........in speedways current climate, it is what you call stupid money.

when is speedway ever fair though?? You lot were doing summersaults when you got bellego as an asset ... Didnt hear you moaning then?? It wasnt fair on Glasgow surely??

Unless kus or old havvy tells the truth we will never know i suppose, and berwick infamous for over hyping, over spinning, under playing things to suit aswell imo.

you are missing my point basically was stating that people within the sport seem to be constantly holding guns to peoples heads.

Kozza Smith was allegedly signed for Redcar for next season, only for Glasgow to trump them with more money, so i suppose that is also fair then eh?

But a lot of better riders would and do Colin.

yeah sorry for the dig but Redcar are being painted as kidnappers and to be honest this kind of stuff goes on every season and some people are getting hysterical on here

Havvy obviously doesn't want to sell so quotes a daft price - thats the way it works

i'm afraid i don't know anything about a 2 year deal so i cant comment there

Sorry to sound a bit dumb but I really dont get this asset of the club carry on. I always thought that Speedway Riders were self employed. I find it strange that in these cases that a team can ask a transfer fee for a rider who really isnt owned by the club. Surely a rider rides for a club on a contract offered when that contract expires he should be able to move to another club without any hassle.

If I employ a builder to do some work for me and we exchange a contract, once that contract has finished I dont own him, he is a free agent to go and work wherever he wants. If a rider is an asset of a club but does not get fixed up with a team place, does the club who he is an asset of pay his wages ??? No they dont.

So as you see, I just dont get it. No rider should be classed as an asset of any club and they should be free to sign for whoever they want.

you dont know this is the case though?? The kozza allegation is down to the rider surely??..... If kus wanted to ride for berwick he would do, no court in the land would advocate restriction of trade... Hes average anyway so you have dodged a bullet....:)

if you want something bad enough you will pay for it

most of us would switch jobs if the pay offer was too good to refuse

id love to have the average wage and if i got chance i would leave my current job aslong as the job offer was a sound 1

Matej is and always has been a fans favourite at Redcar, and it showed everytime Berwick visited Redcar this past season with the reaction the supporters gave him and the fact he spent more time in the Bears end of the pits than he did Berwick's. Add to that his big points haul at the STeMP each time showed his style is a big match to Redcar's track. His depression (I'd like to think that is over and done with and didn't warrant been brought up again) was nothing to do with Redcar and we all know what the reason for that was.

For an experienced poster that was pretty low for your standards.

The asset system is a scam anyway... EL teams could sign riders and have them as assets and then cream off loan payments from PL clubs whilst they did their apprenticeship, and without ever coming to the tapes for them...or strike some sort of deal that looks the case between poole and somerset...yet PL teams have to get and average for a rider before he becomes an asset

Peterboro had a asset list as long as your arm and half of them didnt ride for them initially.
