Chewbacca
In terms of Worrall, cant ever see that happening He doesn't know where to turn left at the STMP anyhow Edited November 27, 2014 by Chewbacca
cheekycobra
Rob was dumped after a handful of meetings in 2012. The promotion said they would give him time. Konopka was given almost full season. Ironic, no wonder no one wants to be at the club. Time for the joke of a promotion to go. Rob Branford rode a few for the Bears in 2010, a full season in 2011 then half the 2012 season. ... Hardly a handful and given plenty of time. How about? 1 Steve Worrall 7.46 2 Richie Worrall 7.32 3 Hugh Skidmore 6.99 4 Ty Proctor 6.27 5 Tero Aarnio 5.54 6 Adam Roynon 4.78 7 Jan Graversen 4.14 Total 42.50 I think the Bears team will be made more clear with what happens at Peterborough then I expect Ulrich may be back. Maybe Roynon or Hall also. I have a feeling Sheffield will keep Compton so either Proctor or Poole could be available.

cheekycobra
Haven't Sheffield just purchased Pooles contract? Dunno, but they have 4 riders to sign with 20ish to play with and I think Andre "Mr Sheffield" Compton will return, so somethings got to give. I actually suggested him whilst at Newcastle for an away meeting. I had been monitoring his scores for Buxton. Was on the Southern tour when he rode at Somerset and Rye House in place of the injured Gary Irving. Correct he did the full season in 2011, and though he struggled mainly due to his poor machinery. Had a higher finishing average than Konopka. 2012, Robert did not complete half a season as you state. He only did 3 home meetings and 2 away. They were all in March. Meetings Robert competed in for Redcar in 2012 are in order of date. March 15th, Home v Newcastle LC 1 (3 RIDES) March 18th Away v Newcastle CH 3 (4 RIDES) March 22nd Home v Edinburgh LC 2 (6 RIDES) The meeting that ended Gary's career. March 29th Home v Workington LC 2 (4 RIDES) March 31st Away v Workington LC 1 (5 RIDES) Robert had already been replaced by Mark Jones. Jones was un-able to ride, so Robert still agreed to Ride after Havvy had dropped him. Mark Jones made his debut at Sheffield on Thursday 5th April. Jones retired and in came another astute Havvy signing Lee Smart. Then came another Havvy cock up, Rajkowski. Finally double change with Doolan and Mudgway. Ive got nothing against Robert, just pointing out he had more than a fair chance, and was given time to prove himself. Sorry I just read that he rode for Redcar in June, 2012 and put that down to half a season, but I think he was a guest then. I don't see what your getting at with Konopka though, as he was signed on a 7 average, and has had a lot less time in the Redcar team than Robert did. Do none of you guy and girl want Konopka back ? If the last place in the team is a 3 pointer, then yes defo. Towards the end Raffa was riding loads better and no one can question his 100% effort, and became a bit of a cult hero with some fans. As Simmo pointed out he got 3 meetings as the last 2 were after he had been told he was being replaced , which he rode for the club anyway ,hardly half a season , but anyway history now hopefully he has a better time of it next season. I think you will find that Proctor will be back at Sheffield, both him and the Sheffield Promotion at Sheffield seem to have alot of mutual respect for each other. Taylor Poole has been given assurances by the club that when he is fit and ready he has a place at Sheffield waiting for him, there was some doubt regarding his broken leg as to whether not he would be over in the UK next season, but he appears to be making very good progress with the injury. Maybe we will allow Redcar to use another Sheffield asset in Andre Compton.
