Ipswich Vs Somerset ( P L Play-offs) - Thursday, October 2nd

Recommended Posts

Indeed - I had forgotten how badly Ippo were hit last year.

I was just thinking of how Nick Morris wiped out Joe Tabaka in the 1st leg of the play-off final putting him out of action for both legs, forcing him to delay his wedding because of the injury and costing him his Monarchs team place for this year because he wasn't going to be fit. And quite likely costing Monarchs the title last year.

But bitter - moi? - too right!!

So in your opinion if Joe had been able to finish both legs Edinburgh would have won, doubtful but I respect your point. When the Rebs tanked the Monarchs in the cup semi , Joe got 7,and in the PLPO r/r for him scored 6, he may have also scored less than that we will never know.

Wrighty got taken out by Wilko last night, but hopefully he will be back next week, no such luck with Brady though. No Doyley in 2012 almost certainly handed the play offs to Scunny.

For what it`s worth IMO Edinburgh are the champs whoever wins the play offs.If we get through and are up against the Monarchs it would be nice to win (of course)but as I said for me Edinburgh have been the best team this year, the table does not lie.

Didn't Scunthorpe get hammered down there last night ?

Yes

Oh I didn't know Scunthorpe had already been to Somerset, sorry. Oh well in that case I will hopefully see Ipswich amass a huge win tonight and break all expectations and get a win or draw tomorrow, just hope I'm not the only Ipswich fan there.

Risager pulled out with mouth ulcers

Now I'm not a doctor, but how would mouth ulcers stop you from racing a bike?

Risager - migraine & abscess.

Some hospital time.

Said it before but the Ippo fence looks too short. Doesn't seem to stretch far enough around the bends especially turns 2 & 3. Howarth should have been hitting air bags not fence in heat 1.

It's always that bit of fence. He did hit air fence first though. But then bounced into wooden bit.

Allen withdrawn from meeting with whiplash

What a start for the Rebels! Unbloodybelievable! What is it with us and Foxhall? I think we can write this one off already. At least Olly's got a week to recover. C'mon you Scorpions!

Awful start.

Pretty poor in the end after a good start although I will probably be in the minority and be slated for saying it!

We definitely should have hit 60+ against what was left of the Rebels after ht1.

Some decent performances but poor Gino is only looking a shadow of the rider he was earlier in the season.

Personally, quite disappointed that we didn't fully capitalise when this group could possibly come down to race points.

Nuff said, now waiting to get mullered for my opinion.

I did wonder that, he does seem to withdraw frequently when he has a fall

He has got a very loose shoulder that pops out regularly but.

Dont think thats unreasonable SB.

Think it will all be settled one way or the other tomorrow.

Although even if it doesnt go our way we a have a second bite of the cherry at Somerset. Dont want to rely on that though!!

Poor crowd tonight. Maybe all of Risager fans not here either!

Poor crowd??? Cant remember the last time I had to go that far back to park my car. Certainly over 1,000. I started to count when we were waiting for heat 1, but far too many for that. You put all those up in the seats where they used to be, and it would have looked very healthy. Or better still, put the whole crowd tonight on the home straight at Monmore, and Nigel would wet himself.
