Somerset Vs Scunthorpe ( P L Play-offs) - Wednesday, October 1st

Recommended Posts

Good guest selection. Kyle was handy on his last visit to the OTA and has been in form lately.

I like Kyle - he's a nice lad. When Oxford were in a second half at Swindon in 2012, he came along to mechanic for Brendan Johnson, and ended up helping out Ross Walter with his bikes as well. Without Kyle, we'd have run out of working bikes!

He should be a very good guest.

All the best

Rob

A point for Scunny would really set the group up nicely.

I think Scunny are a team that could push the Rebels at the OTA.

On the outside it looked like a very poor showing from the Scorps, but I can assure you "most" of the team tried their best to get the settings right. Shame that the captain pulled out injured and then went home with the RR tyre, true captains performance that ;-) Oh well I'm sure 2015 will be a different team. Two meetings left, is there any point really?

In 2013, injuries curtailed our improvement. This season, or more importantly, these last 3 months bar last 2 weeks, we have been the form team. Shouldn't think, for 2015, it needs much tinkering.

Agreed but next season we cannot carry an untried rookie reserve. Two seasons running it has been a year too soon for the newcomers.

Disagree, the whole team needs a overhaul. Only two riders that IMO should be kept, Jørgensen & Auty, clear out the rest and start again. They are the only two riders who ride their ass off for Scunny and themselves.

No Douglas why? madness,Howe has had a rebuilding year Birks has comeback from horrendous injury agree with Scorpion not alot of tinkering needed maybe just a up and coming reserve who can score 3/5 points most weeks.

Douglas is too inconsistent as in, he is on the edge all time win it or bin it merchant and his machinery is in poor condition and not maintained. Birks is not a team player, doesn't look out for his team mate and is not particularly a good captain. Howe is the same as Birks. Klindt is too inconsistent, a world beater today and then an also ran tomorrow, just doesn't seem to be on his a game and seems to be injury prone. The team I would like to see if it all fitted and worked out in no particular order:-

OSTERGARRD

WILKINSON

JØRGENSEN

AUTY ©

GRAVERSEN

BENJI COMPTON

SERGEANT

Some old faces there but every rider is a "racer"

What! Where have you been since Birks took over from Howe? No disrespect to David, as he had his own problems last year never mind the teams, but Ash has been a good captain. Offered his bike when needed to & this year, with Auty, how many 5-1's did they have at home, always looking for each other.
