Plymouth 2015

Crap signing.

I love to watch guys race to their limits to get points for the team. Fisher goes over that limit time and again.

The guy is plain dangerous on a bike. His rants and raves when last at SBA were childish and pathetic.

I certainly will NOt be attending any Testimonial for him.

Swapping Barker for Fisher is a massive error, imo.

Bottom half of table AGAIN at this rate.

My visits to SBA will be severely curtailed.

There's a lot of talk about Barker riding for Lakeside next season, so it could easily be the case that Plymouth couldn't sign him and had to go elsewhere.

Personally, I think Fisher is an excellent signing. True, he can be over aggressive but he's genuine number one material, people will go just to watch him and he's on a bargain average.

I am not sure how you can make a prediction about where the Devils will be with only 3 riders signed.

Roland Benko will have Mark Simmonds looking after him at all meetings this year, that should get him on the correct gearing which I believe was a problem this season gone. I believe there is a lot of talent there, just needs some good advice, I would have loved to have got Eric Boocock looking after him, then you would see what I believe he is capable of. Dont forget he is still only 18, maybe 19.

Not winding anyone up regarding Plymouth

I hope you are right because in most of the away matches last season that I saw he was dreadful and never even looked like beating anyone.

Dak never rode Premier Lge in 2014..

Think he meant 2013. Getting his years confused. A sure sign of getting old ;)

Nothing to do with either, Superstar1 posted saying 'What about Danny King then whose EL average is over 6?' - and seems to have deleted his post realising he was incorrect, leaving mine to be taken completely out of context referring to Dakota North, when it was actually in reference to Danny King.

This is Fisher all over. He will split people right down the middle. Some will argue he is too dangerous and a liability others will say he is entertainment personified.

I tend to go with entertaining but not as consistent as I'd want my number one to be. On his average though he is a value signing but we must and I can't stress enough sign another top quality heat leader. I keep hearing noise about Risager who does ride Plymouth very well, but I'd want Richie Worrall myself as I feel he offers more potential improvement and is also a slightly lower starting average.

So for me this will only be a good signing if we manage to secure good strength in depth. Worrall, Howarth & Blackbird to finish the top 5 and maybe Starke at reserve would fit and be very nice indeed (won't happen but we can dream).

Hey there 'Former Devil' dont cut off your nose or indeed your horns to spite your face, Plymouth probably consistantly presents the best RACING in the UK , does it matter who is doing the racing as long as its gokod. A lot of that is down to unsung hero Nigel Prynne who works hiis socks off to prepare the best racing surface he can. I can only remember him making one serious error one afternoon at Trelawny when coming down the back straight he forgot to turn the wheel and left the track through the third bend fence.

Penny Cross are you the lovely lady who takes some good piccys for The Herald?

Come and enjoy close exciiting racing, maybe there will be a few hiccups along the way but its better than my permanent flatulence

I have been to nearly every home meeting since plymouth reopened at the sba, so im well aware of what nigel does and how exciting the racing can be!

The point i was making when i made the quote was that the person making it isnt a paying customer!

Oh dear, the forum Police out in force telling me what I should be thinking. :nono:

I genuinely do not believe that Fisher is an out and out No.1. As MikeyT says, far too inconsistent. He didn't show anything like that sort of form when last a Devil. He scored an lot of points courtesy of Barkers exceptional team riding. As most folk on here agree, the PL has become stronger over the last few years. Why should I believe he will become so much better?

HalifaxTiger, in an earlier post on this thread you said Plymouth could regret letting Barker go. Now you are saying he was going anyway, re the Lakeside link!

I agree with FormerDevils comment though. As the Promotion have stated in press releases, 'they only need another 100 PAYING customers to break even'.So Skippy, my partner and I WOULD be missed if we don't go. Perhaps you wouldn't be!!

Barncooseboy, I am not the photographer lady you mention. I agree that the SBA in general does provide some excellent speedway. I simply don't want to waste my hard earned money watching a rider whom I have very little regard for.

After seeing Somersets exiting line up for 2015, Plymouths next signings had better be 'up and coming' riders, not old has beens like Simota and Franc.

I wont be holding my breath.

Funnily enough he was a "proper number 1" for Edinburgh in 2010 when we won the league with a + 10.00 average.

Only scoring Under 12 away from home 2/3 times, and even then he was still hitting 9 or 10. (Including 15 Max at Redcar and 14 at Kings Lynn)

Even at home he got double figures 9 out of 10 weeks.

I was gutted when he left, but we couldn't fit him in anymore, and we gave cookie a call, which I'm glad of! :)

So what has he done since? Dropped his average by 2pts that's what!

Besides the SBA is a very fair circuit, not the 'homers' paradise that is Armadale. ;)

That said, I will swap Fish for Cook if you like him that much! Pretty please?

That's fair enough, but I think he will have a good season this year and get back to his best of he has the support :)

That's my honest opinion, but obviously everyone is entitled to their own.
