Plymouth V Ipswich Ko Cup Semi 2nd Leg 26-9-14

Recommended Posts

Go on then I will kick this one off as I'm guessing everyone else thinks it's a formality.

I don't think the overall result is really in doubt it's more of a case of how this one will pan out. It's one win a piece for both teams so far at Plymouth so this time around I think it will be close.

Here's hoping that the Witches keep that winning mentality going to give them the confidence to win some silverware.

Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the Updates site? If so, could you please send me a private message including your mobile number.

Thanks

None of my usual Plymouth texters are anyway! Neither are the usual away supporters either. ..

N.B Our regular texter is not staying away on purpose or anything like that, he is taking care of a loved one in hospital.

Thanks to the updates site. What would we do without you!!

Solid effort from the Witches. Particularly good to see the healthy scores from Morten and Adam.

Roll on the final. Up the Witches!!

Congrats Live Updates team, pulling it out of the hat again :) #bythefansforthefans

The final will be late October ... ?

Should be earlier than that. Newcastle have just seen off Glasgow whilst Edinburgh's, their semi-final opponents, reserve date for the KO Cup is next Friday, 3rd October. Newcastle are out of the play-offs so should be able to run the second leg the following Sunday. This leaves the way clear for the Ipswich leg in the final for Thursday, 9th October.

The only flaw in that idea is that we are already at Peterbourgh that Sunday, in the league cup final 1st leg.

Newcastle are supposedly asking us to change it though.

We always had the first leg at home in the finals we've been in, hopefully this time we can get the 2nd, surely that's only fair. I understand if we reach the play off final the team finishing higher gets the choice, but not in the cup. Come on, we've waited a long time to get some silverware, we'd actually like to see it if we win.

What is happening on the 9th?

It could be more about what's happening on the 11th . Foxhall is hosting the World banger championships and is never normally available immediately before a major stock car event . I may be wrong but it's probably why there's nothing planned for the 9th .
