cyclone
Teams as per Official Monarchs website :- SCOTWASTE MONARCHS: Craig Cook, Justin Sedgmen, Max Fricke, Stevie Worrall, Sam Masters, Aaron Fox, Derek Sneddon (captain)WORKINGTON COMETS: Kevin Doolan (guest for Josh Grajczonek), Ricky Wells, Rene Bach(captain), Mason Campton, Kyle Howarth, To be announced, Simon Lambert According to Worky website, the Comets are currently struggling to find a PL guest for Joe Jacobs, as he is riding for Wolves @ Brandon on Friday. Good to see that Kyle Howarth intends to resume racing after his crash on the 15th, Would imagine most Comets fans were expecting Richard Lawson to guest at no. 1 over the two legs, but Doolan did a good job for Berwick at Armadale last Friday, and Stuart Robson will be an able replacement at Derwent Park on the Saturday. Hope all seven Monarchs emerge unscathed from Sheffield tonight, as there have been a few injuries occurring there recently.
Arson fire
So Jacobs can't ride in a vital play off fixture because he has to ride in a meaningless match...added to the fact that worky can book a guest from the other team in the group Shambles of speedway rears it's head again!! Quite, the reason quoted was that the "meaningless match" was arranged "before" the vital play off match and despite our best efforts to convince the powers that be that our match was the more important, the first come first served scenario was allowed to take precedence? Strange that Doolan was allowed to ride for us in a group that is still very much alive for all parties, albeit to a certain extent, but that seems to be the way it is so if Kev can knock a few points in and a bit more effort applied than usual from the rest at Armadale I would like to think we can get a respectable result, not expecting anything much by way of points but a face saving excercise would be most welcome to at least keep us in with some sort of chance of qualifying!! Best not give you a knife then turn away, huh!!!????!!!!!

Craig Cook was going to miss a Monarchs match at Workington last season despite being an Edinburgh asset, as he was told he had to race for Belle Vue at Peterborough in an end of season meaningless match. (As it turned out both matches were rained off, and Cookie scored back to back 15 point maximums in the rerun of the league, and play off fixtures!!)Edinburgh have 6 points, and Berwick, and Workington both have 0. If Workington take 3 points from Edinburgh, and 7 from Berwick they would have 10, meaning it wouldn't matter what happened at Armadale, as the Comets would top the section. Blacksmith
something tells me that aint gonna happen . at this moment in time we still dont have a replacememt for joe jacobs..I thought Joe Jacobs was only missing Friday night? As I have already said Friday's score won't matter if the Comets take 3 points on Saturday night, and all 7 from Berwick
