scaramanga
Seems there is one or two out there are looking at the Glasgow team through jealous eyes. yeah wont be the first and wont be the last team to be on the end of other fans bitching list bassed on rumours rather than actual facts negative rumours are usualy started by bitter or insucre fans of rival teams (in speedway)

Gazc
yeah wont be the first and wont be the last team to be on the end of other fans bitching list bassed on rumours rather than actual facts negative rumours are usualy started by bitter or insucre fans of rival teams (in speedway) It appears it has now went full circle from offering silly money to illegally approaching riders only in Speedway we are looking like we have a good team on paper anyway and the Stadium is being revamped but some not all but some would rather focus on negative tittle tattle based on what they think it then grows arms & legs and we then find ourselves were we are now. Â I would rather focus on the positve with our new owners and deal in only what we actually know it does make you wonder why & where the jealousy against certain clubs start Edinburgh get it year in year out but i guess that is because they generally win most years . Don't get why we are getting it in the neck as Heather has said it does get pretty tiresome
Whiteliner
As a Redcar fan, I would like to wish Glasgow all the luck in the world. Speedway is dying on its feet and anybody willing to invest their cash into the sport must be applauded. If Glasgow are a massive success then it may entice some others into the sport and God knows we need them. So yes, Glasgow may put together a fantastic team that wins everything but hopefully their success will be a spring board for other teams. Â And lets face it, we all start on 42.5

tyretrax
Â Allied vehicles How many times must you be told? Maybe the people who own Allied are behind it, that doesn't mean it's Allied Vehicles who own it.

Mind you, the draft purchase/sale document that I've seen doesn't mention Allied Vehicles at all, so maybe he's wrong this time? Or maybe it's me. Don't tell me I'm negotiating with the wrong people? 😄

The official news will be announced tomorrow morning at Ashfield. Hope Gordon (and therefore, by association Alan Biggart) do get some return on their investments when they bought into the club. It looks as though Gordon is negotiating to sell the company to people who are associated with Allied Vehicles, but not using the company chequebook. However, as he makes pretty clear, the sale has not yet been effected.

Or are the tv covering the grand 'signing' a la football and speedway's version of David Beckham signing on the dotted line?
MD
Â that spring board/trophy will be the only success the tigers will be having this year. Hopefully both the Spring Trophy and Scottish Cup are in the past now. Its a new start for us and don't want to ruin it with matches the paying fans don't want to see. Twice a season seeing the Monarchs at home is more than enough for me.

Chris Hutcheson
Any investment in speedway is a good thing, especially if it improves facilities for riders and fans. Hopefully it prompts more fans and leads other tracks to shape up. It will be a blessing to have a strong Glasgow, even if it does mean we get beat once or twice a decade However, everything needs to be carried out in an above board manner. It's only the jealous/bitter rumors that suggest they haven't carried their business out respectfully. As I say, all investment in speedway should be welcomed, especially at the lower levels. Â Except for those health and safety goon Panthers, oh and the ambulance shamble Comets, oh and most definitely not the all-round cheat artist Rebels!

MD
... and only a handful of hardcore Monarchs fans turn up anyway. Poor show. Its been like that since around 2007 hence I stopped going to Armadale in 2008 and won't entertain the 'both teams need each other' crap that gets touted on here. Â It is however part of the general trend in speedway that fans no longer really travel to away matches, just that the Mon's started the trend!

Must admit, I go to their place more than others due to convenience and just wonder sometimes if they really do appreciate just how many Tigers visit outside our derby matches in comparison to the hardcore speedway fans from Armadale who visit us?
