Lioness
For £25K I'm sure Shane Parker would pull on the Kevlars again! and would be more worth the money imo! not *quite* sure Anji would agree though! bassed on actual facts or talk on forums sometimes riders are actualy on half of what others would have you thinking there on course its forum talk - and most of it comes from an area where they have historically paid over the odds for riders so when others compete they dont like it lol. Lets be honest though, you have to pay good money to get the better quality riders and even more so when you are based north of the border so its probably fair supposition the wages are reasonable but I doubt they will be anywhere in the region some would have you believe!
MANSE
As MD SAYS Rusty on home form yes away form no. He rode 15 official away fixtures take out Plymouth and the Workington match in August he rode 13 fixtures 52 rides 50 points average 3.85 without bonus points. With the team we have so far i hope we will be targeting away wins. With that average Rusty would be a passenger only my opinion

Bagpuss
Can kind of understand Havelock's posturing but at the end of the day Summers will ride for Glasgow, for a fee set by arbitration. Would love to see somebody challenge the asset 'system' in court and see it dissolved.
Gazc
It's Aaron Summers. Only the fee is in dispute. Why pay a fee on a full transfer when we don't have to i am not so sure that the Summers deal is as cut & dried as some would think, I would hope there are other options being explored and it would make sense at least financially not to pursue Summers with there being options.

If the new Glasgow management have encouraged Summers to ask for a transfer it would be cruel (thats the toned down word!) to now tell him, "no thanks, found someone better". Don't forget, you're playing with some-ones livelihood here! How would you like it if an employer told you to quit your job and then when you'd been replaced told you, "nah, changed our mind". Your promotion made the illegal approach knowing this could happen.
spin king
I can see why Havvy Senior is maybe looking for a transfer fee for Summers, but to be honest I think that he is wasting his time and I do think that his valuations are some what over valued. What happens if Glasgow refuse to pay a transfer fee, he would be left with a rider sat on the sidelines not making him any money, who does not want to ride for the club and no loan fee, transfers are very rare in speedway these days. My guess is that if Glasgow stick to their guns they will get their man with no transfer fee to pay, their are riders who could do a similar job to Summers without having to pay a transfer fee and it is my guess if they wait a little longer Havvy's resolve with melt. Shadders
If Glasgow have made an illegal approach, then they're bang out of order. I'm not surprised Brian Havelock is hacked off

I disagree. New promoter come in, splashing the cash. They'll be made to pay. Ask Sandhu and Frost how it works! Made to buy Nicholls and Batchelor but then made to loan out Hamill, Hancock and Batchelor when the boots on the other foot. The old boys will rinse what they can out of the new blood! Got to beat that ambition and drive ot of them ASAP or they may actually achieve something and make the old guard look like blithering idiots! screm
Who is funding glasgow? See this is the thing, Glasgow are allowed to sign who they want, they have a cracking team for next year but because they have they must be throwing money at their riders. Can we assume that every decent team is doing the same.

I'm not surprised Brian Havelock is hacked off Did they make an illegal approach? I am not so sure that they did. Redcar seem to be following the same approach that Swindon seem to be following in that if the rider wants to ride for another club then the other club must buy the rider rather than loan him.

Your promotion made the illegal approach knowing this could happen. If is the key word nobody really know's for sure we are just guessing this or that happened what i am saying for what we do know for certain. Glasgow have shown an interest in Summers Havelock has rightly told him if you want a move submit a transfer request We rightly are baulking at Havelock's excessive demands for Summers yes it is unfortunate that the rider appears to be caught in the middle but at the end off the day it isn't the first time and it won't be the last time that a rider finds himself out off work at the start off the season As far as the illegal approach goes who & where is this actually come from i would like to think we didn't but let's be brutally honest here we are all not naive enough to think this practice doesn't happen on a regular basis. Unless the Demand by Havelock is dropped from the quoted 25k then i am pretty sure we will just not pay that and if it means that Summers won't be moving to Glasgow then as much as i feel for him it won't happen for 25k IMO. If Glasgow have made an illegal approach, then they're bang out of order. I'm not surprised Brian Havelock is hacked off Nobody really knows for sure Shads people are putting the 2+2 = 5 theory into practice just because we are interested in signing him, the only people that really know what is happening are Glasgow Redcar & the rider himself the way it should be. They might be new owners off the Club but have experienced Promoters on board assisting them in Stewart Dickson & Alan Dick and knowing both these two i would be very surprised that the proposed dealing's with Redcar haven't been done by the book.
