Dekker
if no loan fee can be agreed, its upto summers to ask for transfer then it'll go to arb if no transfer fee is agreed, ball in summers n glasgow court now.
MD
I truly hope we don't entertain any transfer fee for Summers. Â It would be a total waste of money and a catastrophic diminish of return. Great point though how long do you wait? There are only a few other options left we could pursue for the last spot. Regardless no money should be changing hands.

Aaron Summers submitted a proper transfer request to Redcar some time ago.  Glasgow have agreed his terms, and can have him. The fee will be decided by arbitration, presumably at a figure somewhere between their valuation and Redcar's £25K.

It's not the way the business had been run before. In the few occasions that this tactic has been tried, the rider went to club wanting to loan him, on a loan.
barncooseboy
Can I just pass our best wishes from here in the far South West for Christmas and New Year, how many more disasters are the Glaswegian people going to suffer. Our thoughts are with you all.
Bellers101
That would appear to be the case , 25k for Summers is a nonsense and we wont pay that . I hope the lad doesnt miss out on a team place because of it . Come on cough up!
heather21
I feel a bit sorry for Aaron to be honest. If rumours are correct and Havelok is being awkward about the situation with Aaron due to Glasgow offering Kozza more money then it is ridiculous. He may be their asset but he is a person and must be worrying about his team place for next season. Its not as though there is a space at Redcar for him if something were to fall through. Bloody well let the guy get sorted for next season, jesus.

This probably tipped him over the edge hnece why he is being so Awkward to deal with as Glasgow try and get a deal for summers.
Fromafar
Monopoly money was all that could have them , he should have just offered more!!!!!

I just think its a bit crap for Aaron as he is the one in limbo regarding his career.
HadrianDog
Aaron is trapped in the very less than delicate hands of an ageing dinosaur harking back to an by-gone age. Said 'raptor' may indeed have been 'gazumped' by North of the border' money, but Summers deserves better than this brinkmanship. He should appeal for arbitration and hope that the Aussie 7=5 scenario does him some favours team placement wise.
Shadders
Some teams have more money than others, that's just the way it is. Glasgow happen to be this years moneybags team. Newport bought the KOC a few years ago and look where it got em
Dekker
It's not the way the business had been run before. In the few occasions that this tactic has been tried, the rider went to club wanting to loan him, on a loan. Â Yes but then the parties were ameniable to that, something different about this dispute, wonder why. Â It's clear BSPA will do anything to preserve the rider registration and practically the rider can go where they want, but in this case Glasgow seems to have got Redcar's back up and Redcar are insisting Glasgow go by the book which they are entitled to do. Â Aaron's probably worth no more than a few K more than the 8K Redcar paid Edinburgh tbh, not really progessed as i thought he would and hasn't been more than a borderline #2 HL the last couple of seasons. Nothing too see here now move along bottom line the ball is in our court we want Summers we pay if we feel that it is not worth the amount being asked then we don't and we look elsewhere not really rocket science is it.  Whilst it may be a shame for Summers if we end up pursuing another option then i am pretty sure he will get a place sooner or later somewhere, My guess will be that Havvy snr will be easier to deal with if it is another club other than Glasgow as his nose is well and truly dis-placed with us which is understandable  Reality is we will do what is right for Glasgow and nobody else wether that be Redcar, BSPA or Mr Blobby our opinion on thing's is the only one that matters to me all else is hearsay and irrelevant.
