CaptainAudi
Cant remember if it was 3 or 4 years ago there was a murder or something like that just along the road from Armadale stadium There was also one in the stadium on Taggart a couple of years back. And there was plenty on track last year when the weej came calling. So what's your point?

CaptainAudi
can't remember if it was last year or the year before that the police wouldn't let anyone out of the stadium after the meeting for a while as someone had been stabbed or something along those lines just at the front door of the pub. It recalls a story which took place at the home of GLASGOW SPEEDWAY, that's how it has something to do with the club. However, I asked you what your point was I. Your post, rather than say it wasn't relevant.

sparkafag
It is a decent looking side, not the strongest in the league IMO. This isn’t just a Glasgow thing, it can be applied to a few clubs, Glasgow a few years ago being one actually when they signed Jones on a low average (not that I am picking on them). Why is it always the default setting when a side get money that they go top heavy. It always puzzles me. If the rumours are true and Glasgow are throwing money at it (nothing wrong with that) you would think that you would try and track the best 1-7 you could, I am not entirely convinced that side is. **All of this is said with the caveat that I understand that anything is better than last season and so on, but if you are going in all in, best to go as strong as you possibly can. Losing Rusty and Kasper for that part is a blow but plenty quality coming in to replace them so far. Cant wait to get started now. All a bit hard to believe to be truthful. MD
Ashfield Social Club has nothing to do with Glasgow Speedway I DONT THINK WE ARE TOP HEAVY WE WILL HAVE 4 RIDERS 7 TO 8 AVERAGE AND 3 YOUNG RIDERS WHO WILL IMPROVE THEIR STARTING AVERAGE HOPEFULLY We have nowhere to go if two 3.00 reserves don't cut it. We could have fitted in Rusty then had at least 4.00 to play with at reserve. We had top heavy teams throughout the 2000's, I don't remember any successes, I won't count the Pairs for this. 2006 was a decent year with Parker and Bird though mainly with Kauko chucking 2 points on his average. We still didn't win the league.

I dont expect James or Victor to do what Nick did , but i'm confident they'll score well from that position .

Paulco
IF WE WENT THE RUSTY ROUTE NAME A RIDER UP TO 4.19 THAT IS A BETTER PROSPECT THAN JAMES OR VICTOR THAT IS STILL AVAILABLEThere isn't , not that would fill the reserve place anyway . Victor was placed in an impossible situation last year , number 1 on borrowed equipment and in a struggling side . Hopefully , with all winter to prepare , he's ready to go and proves much better than his starting average .

TheScotsman
I agree with Paulco - think Palo... whatever he's called will add a bundle on his average.
Lioness
You've changed your tune Paulco - you spent all last season slating the lad and saying he wasnt good enough even for juniors!

Paulco
You've changed your tune Paulco - you spent all last season slating the lad and saying he wasnt good enough even for juniors! He shouldn't have been placed in the position he was . My ire was aimed more at the promotion . At the time we were on a downward spiral and signing an untried foreign rider and pitch him in at number 1 , when it was evident from day 1 that he was never going to be capable of remotely scoring many points riding as a heat leader , was an act of desperation . He has a chance now to ride from a position of relative comfort , to prove he isn't just another foreign dud and carve out a career for himself as a Tiger .
