Gemini
So Glasgow have a newly applied 'No Dogs' policy this season. Won't affect me as there's not much chance of me getting up to Scotland again but I understand a family with a disabled child have been banned for complaining about the rule. True? Good PR for a company which converts vehicles for disabled driver use. And what happens about riders who may turn up with a dog in their van? Do they get turned away at the gate? Health and Safety gone mad again.

Not only have the new owners invested £750K with little chance of all of this being returned, they have made significant improvements for disabled people. From this and other improvements the impression I get is they have a people focussed approach. I can't believe for one minute after all they've done this will boil down to a "no dogs" complaint. They wouldn't risk alienating their remaining customers for one just one thing. It'll all come out in the wash I suppose.
Fenway Bleachers
Listen. This is a great development, I can now enjoy the racing and have a few beers without the wife in tow.....she's now banned!!!!
Shadders
Get a few large cages installed somewhere at the back of the stadium for anyone who wants to bring their dog and charge em a fiver. Problem solved. Would also be handy for when Cradley move up to the PL. Wait until you meet their fans Edited March 29, 2015 by Shads
chucks
Not quite a disabled child. The boy has a learning difficulties, of which his parents have my deepest sympathy. The dog is a family pet and not a help dog, which aren't banned. The dog only came a couple of times a season, so I can't see a problem in them not bringing it. This isn't the reason for any "ban" for the person concerned. have to admit for the last 3 or so years i turned up at ashfield with my small dog even when tiggers were toiling ,dog not a problem to any body , always seemed to be a few other dogs with owners .about disabledallied vehicles are big in the uk converting vans to take disabled in thro the rear door either by lifts or ramps also verybig alsoin peugeot expert vans turn them into taxis. ,so ima cant see them being anti disable.good luck to allied taxis hope you do do well

Arson fire
Don't understand for one seconnd why anyone would take a dog to any motor sports event, apart from being a bit vstupid. agreed, just cant see the logic and its an accident waiting to happen... Find it quite sad really that folk cant be parted from a pet for a few hours.
Steve55
agreed, just cant see the logic and its an accident waiting to happen... Find it quite sad really that folk cant be parted from a pet for a few hours. Once went to a bonfire night party when a couple (unknown to us) turned up with their labrador and sat inside with it all night as it was terrified of the fire works. When somebody asked them why they'd brought it they said they didn't want to leave it at home on its own in case it got scared. Work that one out! Seen quite a few dogs at speedway meetings, none seemed at all concerned with the noise of the bikes and all were kept under strict control. But there's always going to be a first time if the possibility exists. The ultimate control measure under risk assessment rules is - remove the risk! Unfortunate but there you have it. mac101
With the new set up at ashfield there is. Lot more confided spaces and no where they can really go imagine a dog there yesterday you could not swing a cat no pun intended

I can think of 2 incidents at Berwick involving a dog:- first was a jack russell terrier running around the centre green area. second a fans dog biting Adrian Rymels daughter on the lip, the meeting was held up while doctor attended to her. Peter Waite at that point banned dogs from speedway meetings at Berwick. Well done PW
