Glasgow 2015

Recommended Posts

looking at the top 5. they are no better than workingtons top 5. while the reserves are going to be hit and miss.(maybe sarg and vic will hold their own. so i dont see the tiger having a great season and sweeping all before them. they will have a good un, but not the one you fans are expecting. i am going to go for plymouth and another non fancied team.

Nobody is saying we'll sweep all before us , that would be silly . But we're just excited to have a competitive looking side this season after 3 seasons of struggling .

Now that is a meeting I would have loved to be able to come and watch....The new Tigers team V The Smugs , Lawson against Cook ... has all the makings of a cracking meeting

It has and the excitement about all that has happened over the winter will hopefully manifest itself in a big crowd .

Anyone heard of Peugeot?

Fair play. Even if this deal is only worth £2.50 (and I'm guessing it's not), it will only attract more big names. The usual sponsor of "Kens Chip Shop" is hardly going to make Vodafone, Ford and Pepsi think the sport is worth sponsoring but seeing "sponsors by Peugeot" will make them other big names want a slice of the pie too.

Your best bet is Facebook-Glasgow Tigers Speedway and Glasgow Tigers Discussion Group.

The website will no doubt get updated at some point Glasgow.Tigers.org

Gorgeous - will definitely pay a visit this year

only had a quick walk round the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium !!!!!!! today(after all the bikes were packed away). Still lots of work going on but its now a speedway stadium with a football pitch in the middle opposed to the other way round. Viewing of the track seems to be paramount with virtually no obstructions other than the electricity thing at the old pits bend 2. Looked like there was more room going into bend 1 but it could have been the fact you are now down track level making it seem wider. Huge Peugeot signage over the old greyhound scoreboard. Remember theres more to come, must be a dream...is it?.....

So pleased for Glasgow supporters, have spent some of my most enjoyable hours as a speedway fan on the back straight at Ashfield in the sunshine with Paulco et al and its great to see such positive things happening at such a friendly and welcoming club. Pity its so far away or I'd pop up one weekend. Looking forward to the Sky meeting
