Peterborough Vs Edinburgh League Cup Final 1st Leg Sunday 5th October

Recommended Posts

Why were Pererborough so keen to stage this match today when they knew Lasse Bjerre would get a 28 day ban, and miss the 2nd leg as well.

Surely Newcastle wanting to race Edinburgh today would have been perfect for the Panthers to rearrange this match, or would Lasse not have been riding anyway?

Good performance from the top 5 especially with reserves not doing so good.

Kurtz using his brothers engines by any chance being scoring well since he has been out.

Used to usually peak late on the season when with Newport, seems its no different this season :t:

Looks like all the riders are in the same boat regarding there rewards shame hes taken to tarnishing his reputation with the fans, you cannot blame him but others including Ulrich have still been showing up and riding

Would you turn up to your work if you weren't being paid?

I wouldn't, and I only have minimal overheads for my work.

Why should anyone get their engines tuned, and maintained, travelling costs, mechanics etc, when they are not being paid?

I was amazed to see a team with worst reserves than ours but their top 5 were very good value and they deserved the win.

Reasonable match and a fabulous heat 15, but a sad end to a season which started so well.

Let's hope we haven't seen the last action at the best track in the country.

You get the feeling Embra's reserves could cost them over two legs against Somerset.

Somerset probably have the strongest reserve pairing in the PL in Todd Kurtz & Paul Starke, but the Rebels require to to beat the Witches by more than 6 pts on Friday, to have the pleasure of facing the Monarchs in the Play-Off Final.

If Monarchs do travel to OTA, you would expect the Monarchs reserves to be shredded there, given that Fox has been off the pace at most away venues and Deek might still be feeling the effects of his recently damaged wrist.

However their home form is reasonable and at the Dale, the home reserves should outscore their counterparts.
