deanr1
Really enjoyed that meeting, well done to all the lads... Andersen the only one slightly disappointing but hopefully he can redeem himself at Swindon! Fair play to Dak North & Simon Gustafsson for clearing the track when they could have stayed down, and to Greaves and Sarjeant for putting Friday night behind them. Could go either way in the second leg, might have to make my first visit to Blunsdon for about 20 years.
noggin
I predicted a comfortable ish Bees win. The second leg is now set up for a classic. Big crowd, high tension Still think it will be decided by a run off. :; Fairly sure would be a replay.
Crazy robin
Fairly sure would be a replay. It wont happen as The Bees will have the tacticals to assist them.
Bee 26
Shame we didn't have Robbo tonight, that track was made for him! Think we could have been taking more points to defend if we did 8 points could be enough but can't afford our heat leaders to have a bad night. Surely Hans can't be as bad as tonight again Edited September 29, 2014 by Bee

SCB
Just about to head home but before I do just want to say a huge well done and massive respect to the two Swindon riders who cleared the track when being 5-1'd
krompa
What are the rules if it is 49-41 next week? Coventry advances as they finished regular season higher? That's the rule in Poland anyway. How is it in UK this year?

naffer
Fair play to Hansen he did not trundle around at the back, well done bees. Set up for a good second leg .
Studland Bee
I have an early start so in brief, well done Coventry, Swindon are a solid team with 5 riders who regularly go well around Coventry, so any advantage is a fantastic result. I was pleased with a solid performance from most of the team and it was good to see Kenneth go well developing real speed especially deep in the Coventry turn. I thought James Sarjeant was brilliant for 6 points, and his lay down in heat 2 showed incredible reaction time. It was also good to see Greaves acknowledge Sarjeant after his race win. I was disappointed with Hans, he has looked slow the last 2 meetings and lacked sharpness out the gate. I like Aron Summers, but think Robbo would have been the better choice if eligible, the track would have suited him for sure. Can't wait for next week, well done Coventry! Woz01
Yeah fair play to the rides getting off the track. What was wrong with the track I thought it was fine. I'd be a bit more confident defending a 10 point lead but with Hansen in particular in better form we are still in it, just! Apart from the Kildemand - Bachelor 5-1 earlier in the meeting I didn't predict a single heat right!

Dont know what to make of next week now. Cant see Dak, Morris and Worrall being that bad at home. But Swindon are the kings of the bottle job so who knows what will happen. Starman2006
I don't think this will be enough for Coventry. But they go to Swindon with nothing to lose, and everything to gain. And thats how they should look at it..
TheSmiler
Just bear in mind that next week North & Gustafsson swap positions under new averages. think this may go down to 90-90.
orion
As people have said 8 points sets it up perfect for next week . Swindon made a lot of silly mistakes tonight and it could cost them. a big advantage for the bees could be the chance to used ts if they were to go 10 down next week . Does anyone know why they the big tv screen in a place that no one could see it ? it was a complete waste of time

speedybee
A much more exciting meeting at Brandon than at Saddlebow Rd... It will be tight next week at Swindon and a hard one to predict. Hope Garrity has fine tuned that new motor...
Gavan
Hansen looks a totally different rider and his performance along with choice of guest could decide this. Well done Swindon boys and the real fans who don't condone cheating. For the supporters on here who think it is ok to stay down then shame on you if you think that cheating is fine
TesarRacing
Yes. He chose to ride in a re-arranged Sweden EL play-off meeting for his club of 3 seasons rather than ride at BV. We should have sucked it up and used a PL 3 pointer at BV. As it is, the team did so well we'd have still won there anyway. Even use a guest and got him banned for 28 days. Used guests for the last month but at least he'd have been available for the play-offs. I know some will argue that nobody could forsee Barkers injury but you have to work out the risk, MJJ or Barker, what are the plus and minus points of both. Missing MJJ meant EL 6.5 guests, missing Barker means 5.9 PL guests. Barker there is between 3 and 8 points, MJJ there is between 5 and 12 points. Ok more chance of Ben being in the mood but an in the mood Barker is not that much better than a "meh" MJJ. MJJ tends to pick it up on the big occasions, maybe the EL play-offs would be a big occasion for him. I agree with what you are saying there Shawn but Coventry got to the play-offs anyway without MJJ. What if he had been retained but then went 'missing' for the play-offs, Mick Horton would be slaughtered for not making a stand. I am a Panther supporter who has been supporting and going to Brandon for most home meetings this season for my EL fix. I have really enjoyed most of the meetings this year and if a defeat next week is the end of Coventry's season then I salute this Coventry team of racers and Mick Horton for the entertainment I have had this year.

I guarantee they won't be springing to their feet. I've seen it cost us before so my attitude is that they should stay down especially when its on the 2nd bend of lap 1.
