thecoombdog
no they shouldnt have stayed down. they did the right thing and all riders should do the same. what you say is because some stay down they should all stay down! how about the swindon boys set a precedent that all should follow. Cant stand North but fair play in getting up he should be applauded. If the Coventry boys stay down next week it will be cheating pure and simple. It needs to be penalised some way but its hard to police as a rider could slide off and hurt himself What did I say in a previous post? I would love to think all riders would get up but we all know its not going to happen so I don't want Swindon riders being the only one's who get up. And if Coventry riders stay down next week and it sends them through then their fans won't care one bit the following week when they are in the final. DunRobin
We were discussing his yesterday, We want to win the title down at Poole with Golden Heats You would get lynched or hit over the head with the champagne bottles. Luckily for you tho' the Robins won't allow that to happen.
Midland Red
What happens if rain ( or a burst pipe) intervenes during the 2nd leg to the extent that 15 heats cannot be completed? Do we have the heat 10 situation again, or must the 2nd leg be 15 completed heats?

From previous experience, if bees were to win the title at poole there wouldn't be any champagne bottles around
Gemini
......Orion....... Does anyone know why they the big tv screen in a place that no one could see it ? it was a complete waste of time. Probably because Lucy would plonk herself in front of it to watch and no-one would be able to see..... if it's anything like she is at home. I agree it was pretty much a complete waste of time and it was hardly a 'big screen' anyway as I'm sure last time it was on the back of the terracing on the 4th bend and was a lot bigger. We moved to the beginning of the back straight so we could see it but would still have needed some binoculars. Don't know how they managed on the 1st/2nd bend. They had the cheek to switch it off just before the final race too. But after some very loud protests it was put back on again.

Star Lady
More enjoyable of the two semis from a racing point of view. Was impressed with the spirit of the Coventry riders. Also impressed with Simon G who cleared the track without hesitation, North on the other hand hesitated for a while but fair play to him he made the right decision in the end. I hate the dingly dangly tactical do dah but with Coventry having it available should they need it when only 2 points down overall next week, I still have a sneaky suspicion they could do this, especially if it's a bit on the wet side. Coventry just seem to get on with things, a couple of Swindon riders always seem to like a bit of a whinge (must take after their team manager).

Agree with most of the comments about our lack of interest in getting out in to the dirt, it was heavy but that's why you have home advantage and Coventry did what they had to do so no complaints on that score from me, just disappointed we threw so many points away. Good to see Hans not interested in passing any Swindon riders...is he looking to come back again next year? And as for Sky and the jumbo telly...what a f****** joke. I don't really appreciate a meeting taking nearly 2 and half hours to complete, particularly to try and dovetail it with the late running KL meeting. Should have cracked on with our meeting and intergrated it once the meeting started. It would appear Sky is also experiencing financial issues judged by the size of the screen they rolled out. My mum's Hitachi from the 70's was bigger than that! PS. If anyone from Coventry is coming on Monday...can I have a bag of spuds and a pound of carrots....that field won't be needed again this season
