kerr broken scaphoid, charles wright in on Monday according to EDP

Poole won at PE33 earlier in the year when it didn't rain at all by a larger amount, so you could argue that the rain helped Lynn's cause! ;)

I didn't think it was too bad considering the weather conditions. I've seen worse meetings at Lynn when it's been uber-grippy and dry.
Track was as good as you'd expect, and there were certainly some lively moments and good scraps after 6 or so races.
Some perculiar on-track decisions made by Pawlicki and Compton too from where I was standing.
One, too, from Porsing who almost got Miliked. Think he may think twice next time!

Credit to Magic Janowski. He's been looking the real deal the last 3 months or so. Whereas nearly every other rider out there was having good and bad rides (often within minutes of each other!) he looked superb throughout. If Poole do go all the way this season, and I feel they might, I think Janowski has been the #1 reason along with the much improved form of Newman.

My point was actually that the track last night didn't suit Lynn at all. People will say 'its the same for both teams' but it isn't - for the home team its nothing like what they're used to - they lose any home advantage as its like both teams riding away! Yes we did pretty good considering but if the track had been like a normal Lynn track there'd have been a lot more passing by both teams, and Lynn may have come out on top. Rory and Ken both had two great gates and won easily but they also missed the gate twice and couldn't make up anything whatsoever. Same for King, Cook & Milik - when they gated they were gone but if they missed it they were out of it. True, Pawlicki missed it all night so that probably helped us a bit lol!

Actually at the previous Poole visit the track if I remember was also very slick - but dry. That night they totally outgated us but there was at least actual RACING possible. Last night it was again slick - but wet - and although the gating was 50/50 this time there was very little opportunities for passing for whoever was behind, and I think the Stars in particular suffered.

strange logic!

Cook is a better rider than Josh there quite simply isnt an argument to that. To compare their elite league averages is completly false. Look at the premier league ones from the same position! What would Cook average riding at 2 and Josh at 5?

I agree Cook could easily have a shocker tonight but he is still a better rider than Josh.

Same goes for Nicholls v King

Scott is the better rider but he could easily score 7 and King 9.

Stop looking for excuses Poole ar favourites tonight and anything but a win has to be disappointing

And being honest i cant stand Cook but he is the better rider

This is an anomaly of the guest system with the current elite league race format. The greensheet average of a rider that has been riding mainly against heat leaders and 2nd strings should not be compared like for like with a rider who has been riding mainly against 2nd strings and reserves. There should be a weighting applied similar to comparing an elite league average to a premier league average.

16, 16, 16 what was Bartosz Zmarzlik doing at the age of 16?

Zmarzlik wasn't riding in the main team at 16.

What is with the comparisons?

Lambert has had a solid and decent 1st season in British Speedway.

He lacks consistency because of his age - thats to be expected.

Zmarzlik likewise isn't consistent on the league front either - that's also an age thing.

Charles Wright has been booked to guest for the Stars at Poole next Monday. Now see that he has had a heavy fall at Somerset this evening and withdrawn from the meeting!!!

Do you work for the military where everything needs to be in triplicate! Charles Wright had to withdraw from his PL meeting last night, so I hope he will be OK.

As for the previous home loss to Poole well they were just far better than us out of the gate on that occasion, but it was 50/50 on monday!

So on the previous visit we won because we gated better and it was only 50/50 monday but we only won because there would have been more passing if the track had been like it was on the previous visit!!
