King's Lynn V Poole Pirates Mon 29th

Recommended Posts

No virus in Speedway. Just top promoters get rewarded.

With all respect I doubt it.

Makes me think has Rory fell out with the promotion?

Ford is the virus, nothing wrong with the Poole supporters or riders to be fair to them. In the cold light of day Compton was fiddled in at number seven and his paid win in heat 2 at Leicester last week has effectively made Poole finish top, without that they would have been a point behind in second.

As for Rory, he is just inconsistent. Most of his good guest scores have been at Lakeside where he always scores well and he scored 15 at Lynn last week so no issues there. Just a typical 6.5 point rider.

Poole are a virus . They make every other teams fans sick with their rule bending.

Oh right, thats setttled that then... :o I would fully expect all the forum bar the Poole fans to be dead against us over the next 3 weeks then and routing for KL..

One can only hope that this match is half as good as the EL clash last month.

Despite Poole's terrible injury run, I still feel that they, somehow, are able to find something extra at crunch time.

Firstly congratulations to Poole on finishing top of the league. Also well done to Kings Lynn for a great league season too. Have to say as a Brummies man that they were by far and a way the strongest teams in the league. That said the injuries that have hit them both badly have levelled them up with Coventry and Swindon.

The elite league champions will definitely come from the bees v robins clash and as per the bookies think the Robins will win.

Screamer is right. Let's all get behind the stars next Monday.

True 'cos we'll more than likely be behind ;) ...... but y'never know - if Ken is fit and up for it, it'd certainly help our cause, and the rest of the team have to be in top form too. Especially as yet again we have to rely on 'getting the right guest' - if he fails the rest of the 'em will need to cover for him (unlike at BV).

The whole thing has become farcical anyway - its a Lynn team with guest(s) v. a Poole team with guest(s) - it hardly inspires me to get behind 'my' team because it simply isn't the same team I've been supporting all year. The sooner a squad system of sorts is introduced the better imo to give the supporters some sort of continuity and the riders 'belonging'.

Got to laugh how Poole think they are weakened. They can bring in better riders than Josh and will have Pawlicki back. Lynn have lost their top 2 and a strong reserve. I fully expect Poole to win comfortably and then fingers crossed get beat in the final. Couldn't bear to see Fords face if they win

Kings Lynn v Poole 31 posts old and there no sign of GAVAN or STEVE O they must be sick at Poole finishing top of the league. Ford fixed the meeting paid the Belle Vue riders a bonus. Im getting as bad as them its reading all there posts it gets to you

I think you have the wrong Steve! I wanted Poole to top the league and not pick Swindon (as I expected KL to pick Coventry and leave Swindon with Poole) - so I'm happy.

Interesting that you only have 11 posts under this alias though!

The issue with him being 'fit' for Monday is that he always takes several meetings to get back to his best after an injury, is always very tentative with other riders close to him. If he can make five blinding starts he'll be fine but that's unlikely. Not sure who could replace him though, put Nicholls and Mads up against Poole as our top two and it'll all be over on Monday evening.

I'd rather have Stead than Mads. Electric starts is what we need and Mads isn't that. He's a chaser racer not a gater. Nicholls and Stead would be my choices round the NA at least if Bjerre isn't fit
