16, 16, 16 what was Bartosz Zmarzlik doing at the age of 16?

Lambert beat Benji Compton and Shamek who was all over the place the whole night.

Gavan 1 good race out of 4 big deal.

Whippy I am not getting on his back I am just saying Robert is not as good as some make him out to be.

tellboy I don't expect Robert to beat heat leaders but as a second string you can score 4 points from just beating FTR's so 4+1 is not great.

Folk, ignore this troll.

He chooses something everyone is in agreement with on most threads and will argue the opposite no matter what.

your pathetic attempts at trolling do you no favours. If you are not trolling for a response then you clearly have no knowledge of the sport. Lambert is a talent and is entitled to poor matches. Heat 1 he misses the gate and gets filled in but is beaten by 3 international riders. Great team riding in his next. Poor third ride and then hassled Cook who is British number 2 an international elite league heat leader. I don't know what you expect from him. So are you trolling or just thick?

That's an extraordinary statement. Assuming it's not a wind up do you care to elaborate?

It just seemed to me we were winning races far too easily typified by janowski winning heat 13 by half a straight, only porsing and the lamberts in one race looked up for a battle, kerr was poor, kenny looked good then went right off the boil, hardly noticed him in heat 13, I thought when the stars went 4 up they would push on but it never happened.

Robert Lambert is undoubtedly a promising talented rider and to be thrown in to the main body ofa EL team is very tough at 16 but he has shown that he can handle that so I think we need to give him a bit of slack and see how he progresses, I think he is further forward than Tai was at 16

That's perception for you. Stars won 7 of 15 races so that pretty much 50/50 so Poole couldn't of been up for it either?

Whoever it was that hitithe front was very much untroubled. With Bjerre's injury it was always gonna be if he didn't hit the front from the tapes he wasn't gonna mix it. I would have taken 9 points from Bjerre at the start of the meeting.

Throughout the whole meeting the only thing that made the difference was Newman, other than that both teams had very even scoring

Was amazed we even got to see 15 heats last night, so credit goes to Buster Chapman and the track staff for working their asses off to get it at least as raceable as it could be :t: Was also amazed that we kept the scoreline so close. To only be a point behind is pretty good going I think as I certainly thought Poole were going to be at least 10 points up on us after this leg. It ain't over till it's over...yes I've changed my tune again  I'm still not overly confident that we'll make the grand final, but we do still have a slim chance with only being a point behind.

For those bemoaning Robert Lambert...just give it a rest :P Why not enjoy watching him race and just see what happens further down the line in his career? He still has some way to go and a lot to learn, but I for one am certainly going to enjoy watching him along the way :approve:

Was going to reply to foreverblue but this post pretty much says what I was going to type. Janowski is one of the best riders in the world at the Norfolk arena, not suprised he was winning by a distance. Very happy with Bjerre scoring 9, but he needs to be in double figures next Monday if we are to pull it off. And I thought Lewis rode hard and with lots of effort, just couldn't gate which was vital last night and faced an in form Newman in each of his rides.

I don't think any Lynn rider gave less than 100% and thats all we can ask.

I agree about Newman, has improved massively this season, didnt always gate last night but mostly got to the first bend at least level, kerr on the other hand hsd gone backwards, thought he would turn out to be the best reserve this sesson but hasnt happened.Maybe the track conditions helped us but if you can gate thats half the battle whatever the conditions

This is not over by a mile, KL came to Poole and won only a few months ago and yes they had Niel's but lets see the guests KL put in place. Their home track advantage was washed away and that was clear to see which favoured Poole.

Well done to all riders for putting on a great show.

Our guest is Scott Nicholls

Well done to Poole and to the track staff to get the meeting on, Janowski has really upped his game the last few months and all of us knew the talent was always there. Can he push for a top eight finish?i think so some of the tracks will suit and he has good aquipment. At a lower level no one has really mentioned Simon Lambert the last few times i have seen him he has really improved mixing it can he move on another step in his progress.?

Well, Robert beat Chris Holder in Cloppenburg, Germany recently. Stopped Chris going into a 3 man race off for the meeting win!

The lad is doing just fine. I hope he keeps his feet on the ground and listens to the right people for proper guidance. A bright future beckons.

I think its pretty simple, Newman had his injuries early on and is having his purple patch now while Lewis had his purple patch early in the season and has had injuries in the second half of the year. Very difficult to be on top form for seven months. There is no doubt that Newman's extra experience is coming to the fore too, Lewis was struggling to get off the line in unfamiliar conditions last night but will hopefully put it right next Monday if fit.

I really like both riders i think Kyle is a fine example of keep working hard and the rewards will come.He has paid his dues gained exsperience through the levels and he has made progress. What I like about him is that he has a fine riding style neat and tidy his next step is to be a regular top five rider.Kerr last night rode his socks off for scant reward, he has impressed me alot what was strange last night is that he could not get off the start usually he is a great starter. The two named have had great seasons and Sarjeant is another who has made giant strides in his career.

From this neutrals point of view:

# KL's chances of building a defendable were sat in wet piles on the centre green.

# Once it became the all England gating championship it played into Poole's hands. Whatever else you may think about them when it comes to getting away from the tapes there's no one better.

# KL were running out of steam as the season wore on, the injury to NKI did more damage than just the net loss of his points v the guests. Poole meanwhile were going in the opposite direction. Kerr and Newman's form is a microcosm of that.

# When you're asking a 16 year old to do what KL needed of him you're in trouble, no matter how talented he is.

It looks like the ABP posters, including myself, are going to be sorely disappointed :P
