Bagpuss
Great effort from the team tonight and from Buster, assume he was prevented from putting fresh dirt on by Sky but the track rode well, unfortunately most of the home advantage was washed away by the rain. Didn't think we'd get 44 beforehand so difficult to be disappointed with the outcome but would have been nice to draw or sneak win. Don't think the tie is over but the sight of Lewis with ice on his wrist doesn't help. Gate well down there and you never know. EnglishRoundabout
I can confirm Shovlar is alive and well, being a mouthy twit on the first bend Was he wearing his opened toe sandals?
SPEEDY69
Shame for lynn that the weather reduced the 'racing' to gate and go but there's every chance they can still win the second leg.
Poole Quay 7
I'm very happy with that result. However, only a fool would write off Kings Lynn as anything could happen in the return leg. Well done you Poole boys and here's hoping we finish the job off next week at Wimborne Road. Up The Pirates
EnglishRoundabout
Sadly, that's the end of the road for Lynn this season I reckon. Can see Pawlicki and Janowski dominating at Wimbourne Road, and as we all know, a firing reserve in Newnan is crucial.
homer
Lynn still have a chance but a slim one. As for Robert Lambert I don't understand all the praise on here. 4+1 is not great for a second string rider. The lad is 16 potential to go on to greater achievements , if he could gate would be scoring a lot more

Surely it was the team riding with Lambert against Pawliccki rather than his overall performance?
LisaColette
Milik, what a dangerous liability! I prefer crazy rather than dangerous. Puts the opposition off!

tellboy
I prefer crazy rather than dangerous. Puts the opposition off! That's actually the safest I have seen him ride.Maybe every track should be bladed when Milik is in town Lynn still have a chance but a slim one. As for Robert Lambert I don't understand all the praise on here. 4+1 is not great for a second string rider. So he lost to Cook,King,Milik and Janowski, what do you expect him to be beating these by 20 yards or so.If this boy could gate he would have upped his average to around 7 I think. He has great balance on the bike and isn't afraid to mix it,just got to learn how to gate, hopefully that will come.

Star Fever
Well that was no surprise really but such a shame our track was reduced to a gating paradise for this meeting Well done to Buster ofc for getting it safe and rideable at speed, but tbh I'd have preferred another downpour and a re-run. In the circumstances though was pleased that Lynn made such a valiant effort with every one of the team having good rides, particular impressed with team Lambert with their max over Pawlicki. Robert's positioning on the track was spot-on to repel PP's moves, but otherwise there was hardly any 'racing' as such after the 1st bend and there'd have surely been plenty of passes on a proper grippy track. Where Poole beat us ofc was their gating gettiing it right in more heats than we did! Both teams start (almost) even again next week though - maybe it'll rain there too and take away THEIR home advantage! foreverblue
Well all in all good perforrmance from the pirates, not sure the stars were really up for it. Janowski, Milik and especially Newman deserve most praise but nobody really let us down except Compton who tried but clearly out of his depth. Kerr disappointing, gone off form at the wrong time but not the only one who that could be said of., kenny Bjerre started well but faded, Scotty started poorly but got better, Schlein was good and goes eell at poole, wonder if he fancies guesting for poole in the finsl
Gavan
No chance of that happening lol. Lambert beat Pawlicki and Compton and that's it therefore nothing special in my opinion. Lambert is good but he is also overrated coursr he isn't over rated! He is 16 get a grip! Did you see his team riding skills earlier to keep a rider almost at gp level behind him? Please don't post rubbish

Lambert is good but he is also overrated He's only being overrated by people like you who are expecting him beat all second strings and some heatleaders.People in the real world like most Lynn fans are happy with what he is doing, and that is averaging over 5 in his first season as a 16 year old.And beating some seasoned riders to boot home and away.
MrMungo
Well that was no surprise really but such a shame our track was reduced to a gating paradise for this meeting Well done to Buster ofc for getting it safe and rideable at speed, but tbh I'd have preferred another downpour and a re-run. In the circumstances though was pleased that Lynn made such a valiant effort with every one of the team having good rides, particular impressed with team Lambert with their max over Pawlicki. Where Poole beat us ofc was their gating gettiing it right in more heats than we did! Both teams start (almost) even again next week though - maybe it'll rain there too and take away THEIR home advantage! Poole won at PE33 earlier in the year when it didn't rain at all by a larger amount, so you could argue that the rain helped Lynn's cause! I didn't think it was too bad considering the weather conditions. I've seen worse meetings at Lynn when it's been uber-grippy and dry. Track was as good as you'd expect, and there were certainly some lively moments and good scraps after 6 or so races. Some perculiar on-track decisions made by Pawlicki and Compton too from where I was standing. One, too, from Porsing who almost got Miliked. Think he may think twice next time! Credit to Magic Janowski. He's been looking the real deal the last 3 months or so. Whereas nearly every other rider out there was having good and bad rides (often within minutes of each other!) he looked superb throughout. If Poole do go all the way this season, and I feel they might, I think Janowski has been the #1 reason along with the much improved form of Newman.
