King's Lynn V Poole Pirates Mon 29th

Just to put a dampner on things, rain forecast for tomorrow afternoon, although evening should be dry. Expect Buster to be relaying the track right up to the start time.

Where are track covers when you need them...

You got a spare 5 hours to put them down and a spare 5 hours to take them up ? Although just covering the bends would be a help.. yes the track will sweat, but you'd rather that than have no meeting im sure..

Ha ha ha. I don't expect us to make the final.

Thats Not the attitde my little flower.. Very Negative..

That can't happen unless its an injury sustained on the night.

Wish I shared people optimism for this evening! Can see Poole hitting 50 myself but hopefully our boys will prove me wrong. Unfortunately I think the the injuries have come to the worst possible riders in terms of covering them apart from Kerr. If those three were fully fit and we were missing the the middle order lads for example I think we could cover them better and look much stronger.

Anyway, it is what it is and we go into tonight with a weak side and one that has very much lost its form and mojo from earlier in the season. Perhaps that'll take the pressure off a bit with very few people expecting anything other than a Poole v Swindon final. Hoping for some good racing at both meetings and a good evening's entertainment.

Compton withdrew from the NLRC on Sunday, injured.

What odds on him riding in Ht2,then withdrawing allowing Newman to take his other rides? (Except Ht9 of course)

Wouldn't it make more sense to withdraw after heat 9 then with Newman coming in as a reserve switch in heat 7??

Robert Lambert , Porsing and Kerr need to come to the party and each score double figures, Only then will we have a chance of overcoming the odds.

Can't remember that happening this year yet..........

We do have our backs to the wall for sure but double points from all 3? Kerr yes, but not necessary as Simon Lambert is a good 2nd reserve so should make up in that position.

Robert Lambert & Porsing only need to hit 12-14 between them I feel. Where the stepping up needs to be done is with Schlein. Nothing less than 10 from him is needed. I'm not convinced he's got it in his pocket right now.

In this EL Bjerre should be ok after watching him in the Polish Play-Off yesterday. Still gating very well and Nicholls will give all he's got.

There is stepping up to be done but most of that has to come from our captain. Going around ranting and raving at his team mates when he's only scoring 3's & 4's is ridiculous. He needs to concentrate on his own job tonight and leave the rest to Rob

Ah but you can aggravate a injury as happenened a few years ago at peterborough with james cockle, had one ride, with due to aggravating a leg injury sustained at kings lynn the previous night but still able to walk off the track unaided, saw him getting into his van unaided and laughing with his mates didnt appear in any pain and even the panthers fans were laughing and saying what a farce it was.

I'm predicting a King Lynn victory .............................. but largely because my predictions have been rubbish all season.

End of the day it's sport, and anything can happen. We'll (hopefully) ride it tonight and get a result, and you could put the same riders out on another night and it would be completely different.

OK sitting on the fence here, but for all my c*#p predictions I think both legs will be close. If say we hold the Stars to 4-6 points tonight it's not over. They have already proved they can ride Poole and are capable of keeping it tight down here.
