Tigerish
It's all gone quiet on the team building front. I thought that Steady and the management were expecting to tie up next year's deal before he jetted off to Oz. Has that gone pear-shaped? I thought that Steady and the management were expecting to tie up next year's deal before he jetted off to Oz. Has that gone pear-shaped? I wouldn't be too concerned with regards to Stead. You can look at the flip side and say why haven't they announced Bates yet? Without a doubt in my mind, unless there's a massive in the league structure or points limit, then both will be at Sheffield.

spin king
What if Swindon want to use him ? Could do but I think that he would at this stage in his career to be at Sheffield. In fact unless the Elite League look at the way they do their team building, he could find it hard to get an Elite League spot.

I believe that under current rules, if he signed for Swindon, as their asset, they would have first choice on his services, and being a Thursday track, would mean his value to Sheffield very limited. Would want to ensure he is not in Swindon's plans before signing him for 2015

Would want to ensure he is not in Swindon's plans before signing him for 2015 From what I can see, he has not signed for Swindon. He is just a Swindon asset and as such can really dictate (to some extent) where he wants to ride. If he does'nt want to ride for Swindon, they cant really force him. bigrich
Could it be a fact that for Sheffield to sign stead they mite have to buy his contract from Swindon ?

At this stage of his career he will be looking to maximize his earning potential.

Are you Nigel Pearson in disguise? Haha only because I think he is a decent rider and on that average could do a job for any of the teams! My teams are just muck about ones but on paper they look good
Charlieboy
So we can rule out garritty now from our plans after hes signed for Rye House, looking more like Steady,Proctor and Wilson will be nailed on.
romans lovechild
never thought for one minute we would see garritty in a tigers race jacket next season, must be one of the most sought after riders in the country.

Got to be honest I did think he was coming.. But to be honest I am not overly bothered. Yes he is exciting, but he can be very unpredictable and has a tendency to fall of the bike a lot. Also for some unknown reason he does not look so good around Sheffield and I do wonder whether he could have improved on a starting average of 6.75. But time will tell whether or not he will make that next step up.
Charlieboy
Hopefully we can sign some riders after this weekends conference.Cant see the new promotors hanging around this year like weve been drip fed the signings in the past. They need to get sorted a.s.a.p.so they can get on with season ticket sales and promoting the new team. They have said that they have a team in mind for next season, but were waiting to see what new changes were going to happen if any from the Conference. They have hinted at a returning Tiger which has to be Ash Birks, and a hot British prospect who that is remains to be seen, but my guess is that it will be fairly quick after the Conference..
