Ariel75
Foreign riders?? last years Nico Covatti rode for Sheffield and do not have chance to ride again. Now is heat leader in Witches with 7pts average and ride GP challenge.- The fans have more support to the managers ...................
EIS002
To be honest my opinion is that Nico let himself down with poor equipment and did not deserve a team place at Sheffield this year.

Blackadder
Ben was taken to hospital complaining about pains in a hip, dead leg and gravel rash. Not heard anything since. Edited July 23, 2015 by Blackadder

Cue Ball
Gutted for him - do we know what happened? I was stood on the 4th bend at the time, but couldn't really work out what happened as I was more or less head on to it

I was stood on the 4th bend at the time, but couldn't really work out what happened as I was more or less head on to itSeemed to me that he got some unexpected grip on the apex of the 3rd/4th bends, the bike lifted and he went straight into the air fence. He let go of the bike (couldn't really see what happened after that, but think he went into the air fence first, followed by his bike), possibly how he got his injuries. Don't know for sure. Totally unexpected, the most experienced rider in the meeting, especially at Sheffield! Must add - hope he's not too badly injured, nice guy Ben. HadrianDog
What, about PL teams signing 3rd rate foreigners to clog up team places - why? I've got no issue with PL teams using foreign riders of an appropriate standard at the top end of their teams - it's the rubbish at the bottom ends of teams that's causing issues. Usually of Antipodean origin! Okay, they invented the damn sport, but please? I now find myself replying to people with 'no worries' or 'no probs' Argh! I remember a few useless riders after their first outings for Sheffield. A useless yank called Shawn Moran and whilst we're at it a useless Brit scored zero. Tai somebody. Every body has to learn their trade somewhere. Would any of us lambast the mistake of an apprentice sparky/joiner/dry-waller etc. so why a young rider on his learning curve. Some good memories you have there sir, I just missed a young Tai at Brough, mores the pity. To be honest my opinion is that Nico let himself down with poor equipment and did not deserve a team place at Sheffield this year. Or was looking for some level of commitment from the club which did not materialise. Last year's transition period for your club was, as an outsider, clear, and understandable. But Covatti had already aired his talents to a World audience and was surely worth a punt this year. Maybe the Witches made a better offer. Cert very worth his guest outings for us this season. Shame he was not available for our last clash at Owlerton.

It seemed to me that the bike hit the fence and bounced back and hit Ben but I was near the start/finish line.

Blackadder
He will have 4 home and 4 away if he rides in all of the remaining league matches, excluding play offs.

So providing he does not pick up an injury he just qualifies been asset, by the end of the regular season fixtures.

Tigerite
Who's been injured fairly recently?Easier to ask who hasn't, Only Arthur has not been injured this year. Sheffield could have its own wing at a hospital with what's happened this season:Steady - injured since April Ashley - injured since June David - several weeks out in April and May Andre - out since beginning of July Add to that Jason and Josh are now injured but will hopefully be back soon and the fact that Ty has been sent home it's amazing we are anywhere near the top 6.
